Definitely a charter to remember! I have been fishing Tampa Bay inshore waters for over 30 years and hinted of booking a private charter to my wife. As a Father's Day gift, my wife and kids chose to book with Captain Jimmy. Knowing how picky I am on certain items, she spent time searching for the best captain to fit the target I was looking for (snook & reds). This was a tough time being many charters were out for tarpon tourneys and private trips. After speaking with Jimmy, she was comfortable.

He let us choose where to launch from, which we chose Sutherland Boar Ramp in Palm Harbor, as well as the area I would like to hit. He would not stay at any spot too long if there wasn’t a good, active bite happening. We hit a total of maybe 6-7 spots and ended up with a Grand Slam + a ‘cuda! Overall, we landed a couple dozen fish, mostly snook which is exactly what I asked for. One of my sons who doesn’t like fishing or boats hooked up with a couple snook and ended up having a great time after all. This alone would make the trip worth every penny! A few times if he hooked up, he would hand the rod to my kids or wife if they weren’t getting hits.

The boat was clean and well kept, his driving was smooth. Captain had a great personality, extremely friendly, and very informative and knowledgeable. We used live bait which he provided as well as bottled water. We were permitted to bring other beverages if desired. We will without question book again in the future....

I am a local of 25 years here in Clearwater and have enjoyed numerous charters in the local waters here in Beautiful Clearwater Beach. I had the pleasure of taking some friends a family that were visiting me from out of town (Minnesota) on a morning fishing charter with Captain Jimmy Hartley. Jimmy was by far one of the friendliest and knowledgeable guides I ever have had the pleasure to fish with. Not only did he take the time to detail some of the history of the area but also took us to the time to truly get to know us on a personal level. By the end of the day he was more like Uncle Jimmy then our Captain. His knowledge of fishing holes proved to be one of his greatest assets. On the first spot we caught 2 enormous Snook back to back. One larger than the next at almost 35 inches... Jimmy's patience and guidance during the trip made us feel like big time anglers by the time we were finished. The best fishing with Capt. Hartley! He shows you a great time. Makes sure your fine all the time. Extremely gracious and made sure my wife was doing ok all the time. Got us on fish all morning.
