Wow we had such a dissapointing shopping experience. I have been an avid crafter and customer at Michaels for at least 20+ years. I have always loved Michaels and they always carried all the craft supplies I could hope for. I understand they always had a large selection of everything including seasonal items especially tons of Christmas decorations and baking supplies. Michaels always had everything we needed and we loved looking at the endless full aisles of Chrustmas decor. Since Covid19, I understand Michaels has changed. I understand first they stopped offering their popular coupons. But our recent experience with the empty aisles and lack of Christmas decor and Christmas gift items and baking items was just very dissapointing, frustrating and depressing. After being a shopper here for 20+ years, I dont really feel I have a reason to ever return. Many of the craft items they once carried, they no longer do. All of the big beautiful Christmas trees and displays are nowhere to be found. What was once 6+ full aisles of Christmas wood/hanging decor has been reduced to about 1. I couldnt believe they didnt even have any Wilton brand Christmas sprinkles!! In all past years since they've been in business, I understand they have about 8 or so different Christmas sprinkles to choose from. I understand their entire christmas inventory is about 1/8 or less of what it's always been. The magic is just gone. It's sad. I understand the display cases seem further apart as to maybe make it appear less bare. But if you've been a faithful Michaels customer, you'll easily notice the sad and obvious difference. I hope Hobby Lobby still has full Christmas aisles and carrying their wide selection of Christmas products. I think it would be awesome if Hobby Lobby comes in here if Michaels soon goes out...
Read moreThe staff is very very nice. The reason I could only give it 3 stars is due to availability. Their shelves were nearly empty and I had gone in one day and purched two items that I liked, but wasn't sure it would work for my project. We'll, it ended up worked great, so I went back to get some more and they were out of stock. No big deal, it happens. However, I went back in again 2 weeks later and they were STILL out of stock! At this point I'm at a loss because I've checked all of the Michael's locations in my area and they're all out of stock. So I went on the Michael's app- and I thought I'd actually found the product, but because the pictures are such low quality and because I no longer had the packaging to scan the barcode, I literally have no idea if that's the item I want. And you have to spend $50 for shipping. I'd hate to spend that much for just a few containers of what I need, only to find out that it's the wrong color, as the Michael's containers don't specify the exact color- just like the tags on their flowers don't name what type of flower it is, etc. It's very frustrating because now I can't finish my project with the exact product and it will end up looking weird in the end. Read moreYesterday I had a good experience checking out, but fair experience finding what I wanted in the store. I needed patches for shirts that had holes, and I wanted to cover them decoratively. The woman in the aisles told me they had none in the store. When I told her that I found them on line, she said, “You should have called.” Direct and to the point. She kept working.
I browsed the aisles, and found some items I needed, and got in line to pay. While waiting, I decided to buy face covers with my 50% off coupon - $9.99 instead of $19.99. Cashier was friendly and efficient.
Today, Raven helped me get a refund for the face covers. The material was too thin and too small for Husband. Raven was polite, efficient, and I knew she was smiling behind her face mask. I was in and out in record time.
The store is clean, well laid out, has great inventory, and most of the staff are a joy. All wore masks, and stickers on the floor helped check ours maintain social distancing. I will continue to patronize this location -...
