I will start off by saying that I really wanted to like this place because I’ve heard good things about it but I did not have a good experience. We ordered the crabmeat stuffed artichokes as an appetizer. It was not made with fresh crabmeat. It was either canned or imitation krab. There was no flavor or appealing texture to the dish. Next my wife orders lobster bisque, the waiter brings out mushroom bisque. Not to cause a stir she decides to keep it. It was also bland and had a slimy texture. We also got the beard service and I’ll tell you the herbed butter was the best tasting item of the night. I also ordered the wedge salad and it was ok at best. Then our entrees came, my wife ordered the panko hogfish. The fish was overcooked and dry with no seasoning. I got the yellowtail snapper with crabmeat and lobster butter. The fish also had no flavor, the crabmeat was definitely canned crabmeat and I did not see a single piece of lobster on the plate nor did I taste any lobster. We both got a side of the cherry pepper cream cheese mashed potatoes because they sounded delicious. Well it was not. Again it was very bland with no depth of flavor and I’m pretty convinced it was made from instant or powdered potatoes. We gave it one final shot with dessert and I wish we would have not. We tried the bread pudding, key lime pie, crème brûlée and salted caramel gelato. All were not good and the bread pudding was borderline disgusting. This was such a disappointment because as I stated I really wanted to like the place. And at the price point they charge for food, I was expecting more.

After trying for two weeks to get in at this restaurant we were able to make a Sunday reservation. I highly suggest you plan out if you truly have plans to have wonderful dinner there. Now to the review, I must add it was absolutely well worth the wait. The decor is personalized and abstract beautifully laid through out the restaurant. Attention to detail creates a relaxed yet formal atmosphere, very enjoyable. Our server was extremely friendly, transparent, professional. Appetizers food and drinks were perfectly timed, their system of serving is choreographed nicely. For the appetizer we had the steak tartar which was heavenly, diced up, with capers and marinated. My wife had the lobster escargo which was good however the lobster bits were a bit small. I suggest the tartar. The dinner was a dream, for me ordering the Duck, with a side a Mash potatoes and spinach. Perfectly cooked an marinated it was like a filet.mignon. The portions of the mash and spinach are generous, and could be shareable imo if youre lite eaters. My wife had the special "Seared Yellowfin Tuna" also with Mash and Spinach. This fish is absolutely incredible, my wife and I were both sharing our dinners with each other. Topped off with a bottle Charles Krug Cabernet this was the perfect dinner. A big shout out to the chef, a master at his craft. The seasoning and marinade used on meals create a festive pleasure. HIGHLY recommend this restaurant, MAKE RESERVATIONS at least a week out, imo. Sunday eve at 6 ot quickly filled right behind us walking in.

Was decent, nothing that great, my oysters were the size of dimes, lots of old people, scallops were ok. UPDATE 9/2023 Went to this place again last night, my parents wanted to go, im not a huge fan but it is what it is... here are my takeaways from last night's dinner... - Waitress was REALLY slow, was not friendly at all, i suppose she did her "job" but still, why be a server if you can't even smile? - We asked if bread was served with dinner, as it is at about every other restaurant in the USA, she told us if we wanted the "bread pairing experience" there would be a upcharge, we said fine, but seriously, charging extra now for bread? Sigh - We all ordered salads, i got a ceasar and my parents got house salads, there was little to NO dressing on any of the salads, waitress had to bring extra back out to us. - I ordered the Sea Bass... temperature was fine but it was slimy and hard to cut, good Sea Bass should be flakey and easy to manage with your fork. - Finally, Dad ordered a desert, the "bread pudding"... she brought it out to him and it was literally a inch by a inch tiny dish, almost too small for even a child... Looks like the restaurant next door recently closed down also, we will not come back to this restaurant ever, it takes ALOT for my Mom and Dad to say that, but have to agree, this place is trying to nickel and dime everyone, cut corners, just a ZERO, i would be surprised if its still in business 3 months from now. AVOID. There are better options out there.

2nd time visiting the establishment. Made a reservation for what I thought was 4:45 PM on a Sunday evening. However, when I arrived at the restaurant, I was greeted by young lady who said nothing other than let me get the manager, Brian Murphy. As it turns out, my reservation was either changed, or an error on my part as it was listed at 4:15 in their system. This particular manager, when I asked to have a booth, for my family spoke to me in rude and condescending manner with racial overtones and letting me know that I was delayed by half hour, according to the reservation. His tone and approach in communication was utterly disrespectful on all levels as if I had never been to a mid grade restaurant in a generic strip mall in a generic town. I wanted to tell him right there then that I am highly educated with a doctorate level education from a highly respectful university and quite wealthy as if he thought differently from the basis of the color of my skin. I’ve been to many of fine establishments all around the nation and the world which I might add are 100 times better than this run of the mill strip mall restaurant who seem to serving a homogeneous population of older whites. He then offers me a “high table” otherwise I would have to wait additional hour and a half. This so called “high table” was right next to the kitchen where all the waiters are preparing the food to be taken to actual tables as they are coming and going for the entire time. Unfortunately due to time constraints as we had other plans after dinner, I accepted the “high table” otherwise I would’ve just said what was needed to be said and walked right out. I understand that your clientele is all mostly one type however, this managers despicable behavior made me feel like I was back in 60s segregated America. So I will advise all “ethnic” patrons to tread carefully if you are planning to visit this particular location as I have made it very clear to the owners of the establishment of what transpired on the evening of October 13, 2023 when I experienced this despicable behavior from Manager. Sad really for all those who are employed as I would hope a lot of them do not...

I was so looking forward to trying this place and trying their mwnu as i love seafood. Unfortunately, me and my husband and I did not have a great experience today. We just left the restaurant as we felt our presence and money were not wanted. We were asked if we had a reservation when we entered. And we stated we did, but it's not for another hour. We made one literally on the way end just in case. They hostess stated she didn't see and that since we did not have a current reservation, we had to take a table. We were seated at the table right behind the hostess stand. No problem. As we sat within about 5 minutes of us sitting, literally 4 booths got cleared because people were leaving. As we sat we also saw SEVERAL couples, three specifically within that time frame that came in without reservations (and we knew this because we sat right behind the hostess stand and could hear the conversations) three Caucasian couples that came in and did NOT have reservations got seated at the booths that were cleared off. All around us. As African Americans, we felt disregarded and overlooked. Then we did talk to the supervisor, and she was not helpful she stated that booths were reserved. When we clearly knew otherwise. I never leave reviews, but this is unacceptable. When it's clear that others around you get the basic respect and considerations that you don't get and the difference is in color, that's something worth speaking on and against. And reservation or not if that is your policy, "no reservation, no booth" even if they are free. Then, everyone should be held to that same policy. I'm sad that this is still an issue. And especially as a Veteran ( me and my husband both are) I am extremely saddened by this. I'm disappointed because I wanted to try more of the menu. I enjoyed the one drink I had, and the server was pleasant. But I will not spend my hard money where I...
