Farmers Market — Local services in Palmdale

I went into the store about a week or two ago and purchased some pork stew meat and went home to make dinner. We sat down to eat and the food had a funny taste so I scooped up a piece of pork and it had that frigerator taste. It wasnt bad meat but that taste just ruined the food. I called the next day and was directed to the manager Norm so I told him about the meat just so they don't sell it to someone else. Norm told me let me know when your in the store next and I'll take care of you. He apologized for the quality of the meat. Well I went in yeaterday to buy some meat and let him know I was there and he just kinda blew me off. I've always had pretty good service here and its convenient for us that live in the area and I buy a lot of meat there but I think I'm gonna take my buisness somewhere else now. Update: 07/29/25 fyi: Restaurant is closed on Tuesdays. I know this bcz when I asked the store cashier he yelled "acuérdate!" at me. Talking down to me as if I somehow knew. 😏 I won't be going back, but I'm sure you'll have a better experience.

Mid June. Sat afternoon. Cozy Mexican restaurant that has fresh food and condiments. They allow you to buy drinks from the store next door. My tacos had a bunch of meat. And the carne asada was grilled just like from a bbq. There's a few tables for a good crowd size, too. I couldn't finish the food and got a to go plate. Parking is in the back and I like the fact that it's located right next to a stop light, which makes it safer to get back on 138. Cool...

The food in the restaurant is good and the portions appear generous, the thing I have a problem with is paying $2.99 for a 16-oz soda that actually has about eight or 10 oz in it, they fill the ice to the brim and then put the soda in, so you're probably actually getting about 8 or 10 oz of actual soda, then they charge you a dollar fifty for a refill, they don't have that written in the menu or posted anywhere on the walls regarding charging for refills, most any place you go nowadays does not charge for refills because the price for the actual soda is so high.
