Update from my previous review:
The first time I reviewed this range I gave it 2 stars. That review is still below. However, since then I’ve come back to this range 3 times and each time has been a great experience. Completely deserves a 5 star review now.
————————— ————————— ————————— I really wanted to love this place, but unfortunately, I left with serious concerns that make me hesitant to return.
The staff was friendly for the most part. The range officer seemed less approachable, but to be fair, he appeared overwhelmed by the large number of customers he was trying to supervise. There was a long wait just to get into the range, followed by another delay to get assigned to a lane.
Once inside, I noticed several lanes had three or more people packed into them, which already felt a bit chaotic. What truly alarmed me, though, was the presence of very young children—some as young as six—running around. I fully support teaching kids how to shoot responsibly, but having them wrestling directly behind me while I was actively firing was not just distracting but unsafe. Not to mention that the parents couldn’t care less when I told them about it. Because they seemed more concerned with posting for the gram. Also, the mom was not dressed for the range at all, she looked like she came straight out of Valsan on her way to club Palenque. She should not have been allowed in the range without safe and proper attire.
The layout of the bays was also a concern. They were small, and I was constantly getting hit by spent shells from the shooter next to me.
To be fair, I’ve heard a lot of good things about this range, so I’m open to giving it another shot. Hopefully, I just came on an unusually...
Read moreMy experiences at Top Gun have been great up until today. Our company Kerrie's Personal Protection Services have completed our corporate licensing requirements as of Thursday the 19. We need to make a decision on issued carry arms. Glock 17 vs 19. I reserved a 19 at Top Gun and was given a very generous price for the rental. No problems whatsoever. I brought several hundred rounds with me for the 19 but I thought I'd get a couple hundred more rounds just to be sure that I had enough. When I went to finalize my purchase the price was incredibly high. I questioned the price and was told that the 9mm rounds for a box of fifty was over thirty dollars. No problem I asked that the ammo be removed from my purchase as I did bring several hundred rounds with me. I was told that I have to shoot their range ammo on a rental gun. Now I understand not wanting reloads etc to be put through a rental gun however I brought with me the identical rounds Top Gun wished to sell me. Saturdays are busy and the shop was doing a good business. I wasn't offered a comprise on my purchase. I declined the purchase. Hopefully today was just a one-off experience. My business does need to acquire several new firearms and we need a training facility identical to what Top Gun has to offer. This was my only visit that wasn't spectacular. On my previous visits Top Gun has gone above and beyond to offer great customer service from a free set of hearing protection rentals to very friendly range personnel. I'll return to Top Gun but there are always transactional costs to every customer service...
Read moreI went there with my family and rented two lanes, one .22 pistol and one .22 AR-15. Overall it was an enjoyable experience. The personnel at the check-in desk and inside the range was excellent. I don't remember the name of the range master, but he was very professional and courteous. I give it 4 stars because the place, and the weapons that I rented need maintenance, and for this type of business that is extra important. The rifle I rented did not work and then I was given another one that didn't work well either, it could shoot only in full auto, which even though was fun, it was not what I wanted for the first time my son was shooting. The pistol had an issue with the iron sights being off, although it was not such a big problem. The panel to control the distance where the target is positioned was so worn out that the numbers in the keyboard could not be seen. Again, something manageable that would not keep me from going back, but that in my opinion needs to be fixed. The place is busy even on weekdays, so make sure you reserve your lane before going, it's quite easy to do on their website and they keep track of your reservation with reminders, etc. The price on the range itself and the rentals is average to good. Finally, to be fair, I have rented guns twice in different places and in both cases I have had issues that require the gun being replaced after being checked by the range master (the other place was Nexus in Broward). Thanks guys for making our visit...
