I would give this place ZERO stars if I could. I called about six times and no one answered. On my last attempt to place an order, a man answered the phone and told me that they were busy and that he was not accepting orders over the phone and that I would have to order in person, and then hung up. I decided to go either way because I was craving carne asada, and when I walked in, there was one person waiting on their order and another ordering soup. The place didn't appear to be busy, and the man who answered the phone was just standing by the register, doing nothing. I placed my order for carne asada, gallo pinto, and a quesillo. When I saw how they made the quesillo, I noticed that they used the microwave to heat up the tortilla and queso. Sigh. I regret coming to the restaurant after they did not respond and observing how they make the quesillo! And the bold man at the register shouldn't be working at a restaurant if he's going to have an attitude when answering the phone and an attitude when charging people. This is my first and last visit to this restaurant, and I'll be telling everyone I know about the terrible customer service I received.
Update 5/27 - The owner replied to my review and as you can see, they are sarcastic and rude. They don’t care about their customers. The owner has replied to everyone who’s left them a negative review, and instead of apologizing, they get defense and give a...
Read moreHave gone to this place 3 times hoping that it would be better the next visit. Unfortunately have not like none of the time. If you a Nicaraguan you probably notice right away this place is not run by Nicaraguan owners or cook. They try but does not have the taste or original ingredients that Nicaraguan food taste like. A lot of people from Kendall are not from Nicaraguan that’s why they give 4 stars etc.... but if you are originally from Nicaragua this is NOT a Nicaraguan place or fritanga. Advise to owners to have a Nicaraguan cooker at least. Colombian food is not the same as Nicaraguan food. Not even the desserts are good or taste like Nicaraguan dessert. Please do something about it. Would not...
Read moreI stopped by to buy a 3 leches and a fried cheese. I was shown was looked like a dried cake. I was told it is a 3 leches with flan and it's a great seller for them. I bought it to give a try. Very disappointing. Not close to a 3 leches. The flan part did not taste like flan. And had what tasted like dulce de leche...which is not in the 3 leches recipe. The cheese, thin as a paper and chewing almost like gum. From my interaction with the man and female there, I am 100% sure they are not Nicaraguan. It seems the previous owners (nicaraguan) sold it. It only brings a bad reputation to Nicaraguan food. Just being honest. I don't...
