United Supermarkets — Local services in Pampa

BEWARE!!! DO NOT NOT NOT rent a steam cleaner from this United store! The store manager and assistant store director are unaccommodating and wil NOT refund your money for faulty steam cleaners - and the store manager is very arrogant about it! My son, who is a newcomer to Pampa, bought a house and has been renovating it and desperately needed a steam cleaner for the carpets. He rented on a Friday night with the intention of cleaning the floors on Saturday. My husband and son could not steam clean because the brush on the steam cleaner would not work. They kept trying to get it to work, to no avail. They proceeded to take back to the store. They exchanged for another steam cleaner. SAME PROBLEM!!! The brush action will not work on the replacement steam cleaner. My son goes back to get a refund because he was not able to use either steam cleaner. The arrogant store manager said he could not have a refund because he had it since 8pm the previous evening. Mind you my son ( and husband) are looking pretty scrappy and nasty - They have been working their tails off trying to get things done for this house!! I am going to note to this store manager to stop judging a book by its cover because my husband is an Industrial Engineer and my son, who is the newcomer in Pampa, is a Mechanical Engineer. So I am pretty dang sure when my boys say the brush isnt working on a steam cleaner, they know dang good and well that it is not. I read another review informing of the SAME TYPE OF ISSUE - being discriminated against because of how they appear. My son has opened up a case with coperate and my daughter worked at corperate. I can assure you this is not the United Family values! This store manager is a disgrace for what the United Family strives to stand for. The store manager said the assistant store director told her she could not give a refund for the steam cleaner. If this is the truth, then he is a disgrace for the values the United Family strives to portray as well. Stop judging people on what they look like or how they appear. You should be ashamed. You WIll reap...

To get it out of the way, United is a fine supermarket with a wide selection and friendly staff. However, my rating is based also on their deli/restaurant experience, which was absolutely abysmal and I would have given it 0 stars if this was a standalone review on the deli/restaurant and if Google allowed a 0 star rating.

The menu has plenty of variety and there's lots of great deals to pick from and prices are pretty fair.

The food served is honestly hit or miss. The hard things to mess up, such as mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, etcetera, seem to be a safe bet. However, if you're thinking about getting that beef or pork, especially the ribs, it will honestly resemble something that of cardboard with a slight hint of meat for taste.

The dining experience that I've had here was also awful-- among the worst I've had and the prime reason of my rating. My largest turn off was due mostly to the flies that are constantly buzzing around you, landing on you and or your food, making it a challenge to attempt to enjoy your meal. The seats and tables are cheap, could have been cleaner, and tabletop condiments and seasonings are less than well kept. I feel genuinely embarrassed for whoever allows this place to run at such an unacceptable, low level of standards. I do not believe that this meets the potential that United...
