I started going to Breaks Plus in Papillion because it was close to my residence. The first couple of times went ok. They did what I needed done . It all went downhill after that. I took my car in for breaks ended up with a new rack and pinion . Others thought mgs started acting up with my car. I took it back to them and they fixed it and I would have another problem a few days later. I figured it was an older car and stuff just needed replaced⌠5 k later my car isnât running correctly they tell me I need a new engine. I took my car to get checked out by another mechanic and found they had broke my air intake valve and instead of telling me they rigged it with some random pieces they had in the shop⌠I went back to Breaks Plus to show them the part that had been rigged and the manager agreed his workers did in fact use a part in the shop to rig it. I was furious and asked them how are they going to make this right?⌠No answer⌠I said I want some of my money back because obviously your people made repairs that werenât even needed and to make it worse were breaking other parts and rigging them without my knowledge. The nerve of these people to lie about thousands of dollars in repairs and then to wreck a major part that runs the car and then tell me I need a new engine. My car is running great now that I got it out of their hands . I really donât understand why they would take me for thousands of dollars and never make what they did right?⌠What kind of business is this?⌠I would stay away from Breaks Plus in Papillion because they do not know what they are taking about and will break stuff to fix it incorrectly. My next step is the Better Business Bureau because I donât want anyone else getting ripped off by these incompetent hustlers. Keep in mind I was a valued customer for 7 years and this is how they âvalue â you. STAY AWAY OR GET RIPPED OFF!âŚ! UGH!⌠Terrible mechanics and management NOTHING WAS EVER DONE TO MAKE ANYTHING RIGHT!⌠I still a have the piece they rigged and a recording of Jalynn the manager admitting it was rigged with extra plastic pieces they have in their shop. Keep receipts and take recordings to cover yourself. Get an attorney because they will Not compensate you at all for their lies and mistakes. The grand total they swindled out of me was over 8k. RUN!⌠THEY ARE...
Read moreI am done bringing both my cars here. This will be long but you will want to read this, especially as a woman. I will post pictures of the paperwork I did get from them once I get my car back Back in May, I took my Kia Forte in for a brake fluid exchange, got it done, paid for it. Today, I took it in to H&H Kia for antitheft system and they noticed the fluid was âblack and dirtyâ. It made no sense considering itâs only been 2 months since it was changed. Paid for that there once again. The tech that day mentioned the brakes on the Kia were getting low and will need to be changed soon. When H&H inspected it today, the brakes are perfectly fine and provided me with the report where Brakes Plus did not. As for my GMC; I took it in June 22nd and paid for the blue package for an oil change (the most expensive one). They told me everything was fine except mileage based stuff. Forward to today, 7/12, I was driving off the interstate and my brakes started screeching like crazy. It was metal on metal. I take it back to this location and ask them what is going on and why I wasnât informed and Scott, the general manager, said âwell itâs a free inspectionâ AN INSPECTION WHERE I SHOULD HAVE BEEN TOLD MY BRAKES WERE BAD. So you are telling me, a âfree inspectionâ means theyâll do it but wonât tell you when something is wrong. I then proceeded to ask Scott when the fluid change was done on the Kia, he said May. When I questioned him on why I am having to do it again 2 months later, he said âitâs a he said she said situation and dealerships like to say things to get moneyâ. He then sent us away because my brother was there with me and âis a conflict of interestâ. Something is NOT RIGHT HERE AND HE DID NOT WANT TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR SOMETHING THAT WAS CLEARLY THEIR MISTAKE.
My brother spoke with the regional manager about the brakes situation on the GMC. Kieth pulled up the report and it states they DID NOT CHECK MY BRAKES. I was offered a discount to get my brakes fixed at a different location. I could have crashed. My brakes could have failed at any moment on that interstate today. I am furious that I was dismissed as if I didnât have the right to be upset or taken seriously. I am out so much money that I should be refunded. This...
Read moreI had alignment work done on my car. A week later I noticed that the alignment was still off, so I brought the car back in to the same store as my initial visit to have it re-checked. I was told to "drive the car for another week to give it more time for the tires to get balanced and bring the car back anytime in a week if the problem did not get better". Another two weeks later, I returned because the problem persisted. I was checked in and told they'll take care of it. About 40 minutes later I inquired about how much longer it might be, and I was told that my car was next after a car that was being serviced on a particular car rack by the "only one alignment specialist" they supposedly had working that day. Few minutes later I saw a different car get loaded on to that car service rack. Fast forward another 30 minutes and I was asked if I could come back another time since they had a lot going on. So, three trips and a payment later, I still get to drive my misaligned car until I can get time again to go back in. In hindsight, maybe I should have just paid a little extra money and gone to the dealership instead because clearly the amount you pay may have a direct correlation with the quality of work you get. P.S. I gave two stars because the staff were professionals at each...
