Something Pawsitive — Local services in Paragould

It was wonderful and I was very sad I couldn't adopt one of the cats, Sangria. I just hope she finds a loving forever home. The cats were so sweet. There was a cat who gave little love nibbles and it was the sweetest thing ever. There are a lot of cats who just want to find homes there and if you visit, I'd seriously consider adopting one. Everyone there was nice and I may have cried when I couldn't adopt Sangria, so if anyone actually does adopt her, please give her a wonderful life. I love how all of the cats have their own little names and stories. For example, Sangria was a barn cat who didn't like barn life all too well, sort of reminiscent of Milo and Otis, so she found Something Pawsitive. I love all of the sweet kitties there and they are all very soft and wonderful. There are cats with visible wounds that have healed, such as Sangria missing half of her ear. We can't say enough good things about this organization. Their "cat cafe" is a wonderful place to meet adoptable cats, and you can also learn something about each cat's back history, as well as interacting with them and finding one with a personality compatible with your own.

Most importantly, the folks here seem committed to letting people adopt cats in a timely fashion. We reached out to Something Pawsitive after becoming frustrated by the delaying tactics of so many local humane societies. We adopted our youngest (of 4) cat here about a year and a half ago. My wife went to visit and this itty bitty kitten found her, and just laid on her the entire time. She basically adopted my wife instead of the other way around. Now, even to this day she sleeps on top my wife every night. The paperwork and fee included the spay which was done a few months later. She did have a small respiratory infection when we first got her but after a trip to the vet and some medication it cleared right up and she's been perfectly healthy...
