Dollar General — Local services in Paragould

The “manager” is very disrespectful,and everytime we have gone in there he has been talking on his cellphone going on about something new that’s happened. First he pulled us to the side to tell us that he would hate to make us not be able to come there anymore but that he didn’t like the people we hang around(mind you, the people we hang around weren’t even with us at the store, he had only said that because of something that was on the news prior to that day. So something that had nothing to do with us he threatened for us to not be aloud there.) Second today we were at the self check out and was about to pay but almost forgot to get something well before paying he comes up grabbing things out of the bag saying “I would hate to have to kick y’all out of here” well to his stupid suprise everything was scanned because we don’t steal,then he was looking stupid saying my bad I thought…”YOU THOUGHT NOTHING YOU WERE PROFILING , just as you always are. I would not recommend going to this dollar general, it’s the most dirty,disorganized, unfriendly store I have ever seen!!! I got a laugh out of it though because you looked stupid when everything was scanned like it...

It has a long history of blocking the isles with giant carts of freight. They put out seasonal items then park the carts in front if them so they won't have so much clean up. The last few visits they had carts parked on each end of about every isle. It's bad enough that the isles in this store are already pretty narrow. Use to, you couldn't find one cart to put your things in. You had to use a hand basket or your own arms (limiting how many things you could buy). Now, they have plenty of carts but you can't push one through the store anywhere. It's as if the employees really don't want me there. I'm in the way if them putting up stock. This place is also cluttered and messy all the time. But without fail, I'm certain I'll be going there sometime today. It's a store that's in a great location. It's a shame that the company doesn't invest some good money in their employees and in giving this store the upgrade it deserves. I'm just waiting for this...

Shop here often when I need something quick and don't want or need to drive to WM. The only complaint I have is management in the past has spent more time arguing on the phone with her partner than doing her job. This made the other employees have to do extra work. This did not make a good shopping experience. Other than this, the store is usually clean and the general staff helpful. Prices can vary and some things are expensive compared to Wal-Mart and other dollar stores, but things like detergent and home cleaning products are priced fairly. Its best to get only what you really need here because you will likely get things cheaper elsewhere. Milk, eggs,bread,cheese,and frozen items are far more expensive than they are in...
