Nice as New — Local services in Park Ridge

I like the store fairly impressed clean organized. I made a couple bucks here and there, I only wish they would do 50-50 instead of 60/40. Because for the money I get I could just charge cheaper on my rummage. Instead of bringing it in. Seems more fair. Update: 2024/8 OK, went back there. It’s been I think a year or two. I don’t know if they changed owners or not made an appointment. She said I’m allowed to bins. I said I’ll shop. I’ll be back then went back in an hour. She had my stuff on a different table. There was nobody around. I just heard her saying that’s the bins on the table and it was full… both bins I cannot see her she was walking around. She doesn’t really come and talk to you she says sign a paper and she ignores you. A little chubby, long black hair so I got home and I seen all my stuff didn’t even look like they went through it or she went through it. I called up and I said can you at least tell me why you didn’t take any of my things not one thing two giant bins of clothes ..She said they were stained on the shirts I said would be nice to let people know why you’re not accepting your things On the phone, I said OK that was it. I went through my bins. Had one shirt with yellow stains on I checked all my shirts. I had a lot of under armor T-shirts, long sleeve shirts, some nice Some brand new so I know she didn’t look at anything to be honest, I think she wasted my time. I think she never Look through anything because they were still folded the way I had in the bins If she didn’t like the stuff or say she had enough of that stuff she could’ve said so, but to say one T-shirt was stained so I pulled that T-shirt out and put on garbage all the other clothes I looked through there’s no problems with any of it Don’t think I’ll be going back unless they change things that was the wasted trip! Decided to try just "one" more time shopping at this store 2/23/2024. Every time I have been there, 3 times now, the cashier gals are just rude. The one gal walked the store a few times while I was there today and had a snarky look on her face. No, hello, no smile. I first smiled at her because well...that's the respectful thing to do to store employees right.. At one point I was looking thru some clothing that happened to be right by the register area and I looked up to her sneer look at me once more. I kindly smiled at her and said, "Smile".. she rolled her eyes and turned around. I only said that because I had enough of her rotten attitude and thought just maybe shed perk up a little bit? I'm sorry but if you want customers to feel WELCOMED and buy your store merchandise you need to have people working for you that are welcoming and pleasant to your customers. I counted up 132 dollars of merchandise in my cart. I thought...no, I'm not one more time spending one more penny here... again. I returned everything back to where I grabbed it from. I ended up with a couple things off the dollar rack. Spent 6 bucks...when really I shouldn't have even spent even that much. I feel bad for those that consign here as I'd love to support their 40 percent of sales but I will not support the 60 percent store sales for having RUDE customer service. The workers in the store are rude and lazy. The only decent worker out of 4 I encountered was a tall checkout gal. The prices are a joke. $63 and up for jeans! The intake personnel were beyond rude. They sat and filled their faces and ignored everyone and everything else. They didn't even respond when asked a question. What corked me the most was that they had a mellow dog tied with a very short leash to the bottom of a shelving unit and he/she couldn't stand if it wanted to. I debated calling the cops but,from what I hear, they don't do squat when it comes to something like this. There's definitely a need for employee training. Where the heck is management? From the looks of it, there must not be one. Prices are WAY out of whack, workers are rude and sloblike and they practice animal abuse. That poor dog didn't have access to...
