Check your bill and don’t believe anything their sales techs promise you. I’ve been over charged $400 in the last year alone and officially terminated my agreement with them after them trying to charge me ANOTHER $105 technician fee- when the first time I paid this fee the technician didn’t properly install my equipment. I’ve been a loyal customer to Suddenlink(what optimum was formerly known as) and let me tell you- they may have changed names but they’re still the same sleazy, underhanded snakes they were previously. 0/10 recommend. If you do go with them be willing and prepared to either throw $100s out the window in fake made up fees OR be prepared to spend 1hr+ a month on the phone arguing with them to correct it. Every-single-month… never ever again will they have my business or the business of anybody I know. I give them a chance when they changed management- but now idc if they change management, change names, and change staff from the bottom clear to the top I’ll never ever EVER spend another penny on their services again. Matter of a fact just to prove a point I’ll pay 3 times the rate to another provider before I EVER see another cent of my hard earned money go to these greedy snakes...
Read more2 months ago I dropped off a modem they sent to me.. I switched to the "un carrier" T-Mobile which is easy to call and deal with unlike this racket that I'm constantly calling because they up my bill! New carrier has a locked in rate for life and cheaper. I am sick of their games!! .. I'm billed for this modem even though I returned it to the store ( hour round trip). Optimum is by far the worst cable provider. Endless menus/wait times... etc. and bad record keeping obviously, as they are charging me for something I turned in two months ago .. 100 bucks for a cheap modem. This company is disgusting. Stay away!!! I have warned you.
update: I raised a star as they have supposedly taken off the modem I turned in.. we shall see. I just wonder why they now take it off the operator could easily see that I turned it in almost two months ago. Is the company trying to bill me anyway in the hopes i pay it?? I do not...
Read moreOptimum is a very bad company. I had them for two and a half years. When I went to stop my account with optimum because the device was so bad I couldn’t even use the phone to pay my bills. I wanted to pay my device off and be done. They made everything impossible. I was in the phone for hours. They offered a promotional credit for me to stay which I didn’t need because I had service with someone else by then. They made me think I needed to do this. Assuring me my account wouldn’t be charged again they lied. I was charged and I called to get it refunded. I was lied to more. I was so mad I called to speak to someone in charge. It was a joke. They sent me a message said I wouldn’t get a refund. They only ripped me off. Bad company bad service horrible people. Ripped off a customer of two years who works hard for her money and has children....
