I do not know how Giant Eagle can continue to sell muffins using the recipe they currently use. Every time we've bought them, regardless of the flavor, they are greasy with a horrible consistency, and they fall apart. We stopped buying them, but had a house guest last week and he fancied some muffins. Aldi wasn't open, so my partner bought them at Giant Eagle. Big mistake. The muffins are so greasy that the wrappers are saturated in grease. We ended up throwing all of them away because they were literally not edible. **EDIT 1/18/24: Giant Eagle won't issue us a refund because they cannot find our advantage card number in their system.

I love going to the market district it has everything that a regular store has plus all of the higher end items like aged steak and also my favorite part is the bar that it has I recommend the $5 flights. You pick five of the 30 micro craft beers and have a good time, the wine selection is awesome also you can shop and drink! Check it out!

I went to Giant Eagle to purchase alcohol because they have a full State Liquor store inside and I walked through their bakery and decided to purchase some cookies as well. They have a very good bakery and the goods are always fresh and delicious. I brought 2 different kinds of cookies to have a variety. The store is well designed.

The customer service at this store is horrible. I recently had one of the most mortifying experiences of my life. I went to this store for a couple of items one being a beef tenderloin. The price was incredibly expensive and after putting the tenderloin in my cart and picking up the other items I needed, I thought long and hard about purchasing the $70 piece of meat. I was in the dairy isle, the other side of the store from the meat department, with my 20 month old daughter who was starting to get fussy, 6 months pregnant and my sciatic nerve was really starting to hurt. After much contemplation I decided against the purchase of the tenderloin, the thought of taking it back to meat department seemed tough at this point, so I put it in the dairy cooler so it wouldn't go bad. I proceeded to the self check out, purchased my items and headed for the exit door. I was greeted by manager at the doors where he proceeded to ask me where the meat was. I was confused as to how he even knew it was in my cart, which means he or someone was obviously watching me. I told him I put it in the dairy cooler. He then proceeded to ask me where, I tried to explain he cut me off and said I needed to show him where. I said I needed to get my daughter home, who at this point was wrestling through my bags of groceries. He said he didn't care and I needed to show him where the meat was. At this point I asked "are you serious?" His reply, "dead serious" I said I didn't steal it and he responded with "I need to make sure" I was appauled. I proceeded to walk all the way back to the dairy isle and showed him the meat. I recieved no apology for being accused of stealing. By the way- I didn't have a baggy shirt or big purse with me, I'm not sure where they thought I "hid" the 4lb tenderloin but clearly they were convinced I had stolen it. The entire experience was embarrassing and humiliating. I will never return to this store. It...

Not enough cashier's as always. Self check all had huge lines . Numerous problems with self check plus shoppers had carts loaded to the top which slowed down the line because they had to scan and bag. These were meant for people with maybe 10 items. Plus problems with weighing produce, people using gift cards. I was in line for 25 minutes. Never again. I came in for a few things which they didn't have anyways. Went across the street to Aldi and found everything I couldn't get such as green peppers. The milk I buy was a dollar cheaper at Aldi. They know the store is going to be busy because of an upcoming snow storm, and yet they still don't have enough cashier's. It was worse than a Christmas holiday. They need to hire cashier's! High prices and less service are Disappointing. 😞 They want you to take a survey but when entering the code numerous times, it wouldn't let you do it. Also the few cashier's they do have, tend to make it a social hour with people they know at the checkout. Now 25-30 minutes is way to long to stand in line, especially when I only had one person in front of me. I am disgusted especially when they drop your change on the floor , use their foot too stop it from rolling, pick it up from the nasty floor and their dirty shoe, and hand you the change. Not cool....

Like all GE's, the place is absurdly expensive so they'll never get better than 3 stars from me due to that. GE starts at the bottom and gets their stars from what they do to offset this. Place is clean and a pleasure to shop at, employees are courteous and helpful. But the selection is unpredictable from one GE to another and here it sucks. The cheese selection is pathetic compared to others - simply an end cap sized area with a handful of choices (I'm talking about the fine/imported/Italian cheeses). This is compounded by the fact that the vegetarian options are also among the worst of all GE's (Tofurkey products, almond milks, tofu etc). You can't be bad at both!! It's not too much to ask that a couple types of Tofurkey sausages and/or roasts along with more than one brand of tofu be kept in stock, and this location dies not. There are vegetarians as well as carnivores in my family and if I can't shop for my whole family at one store there's no point in me going to that store. Add some quality meat alternatives and have a real cheese section and you'll get your usual 3 star rating for having a nice store to shop at in a convenient location with a...
