The store seemed to have a lot of nice things marked down. I got there late and only had a few minutes to look over before closing.
Unfortunately the manager named Vicki, shouldn't be working in a service oriented field. She was working at closing, Jan 3rd 2019. It was right at 930 on my way out and I passed a ring on my way at the jewelry counter that I just had to have. I asked the lady (Vicki) if I could buy something at the jewelry counter and I didn't need to see it or anything I just wanted to buy it. She told me, "we are closed." "I'll let you out the door.". I said I'm going through the line as I was looking for a snack.
I also figured I would ask the checkout cashier if I could buy the ring and report the impatient employee to the manager, because at that time I didn't know she was the manager.
The cashier said I could certainly buy the ring. I wish I had her name, I figured it would be on my receipt, but it wasn't. She was very pleasant and helping. She didn't think twice about letting me but the ring, she was a pretty blonde lady with her hair up in a ponytail. Vicki hovered while I made my purchase. I thought I caught on her name tag "manager" so I asked the nice lady and she nodded yes. I whispered she was mean to the nice lady. I then asked her the managers name. She was hesitant in a naive way to give it to me. I told her she wasn't doing anything wrong, I was the customer and I asked.
So if you see an older lady with grey hair a little past her shoulders and a frown on her face, wish her a nice day because I think...
Read moreVery poor customer service, heavily cluttered, and the only thing giving 2 stars is the pricing. I was singled out as a thief for putting a product back in its packaging that a kid left on the floor. Some grey haired, mustache having, 85 yr old lady made it very obvious she singled me out as a thief promptly calling to their security overhead for me to hear, and mumbling something to my girlfriend while she walked by.
Obviously, they must have reviewed cameras and nothing came of the situation or I'd be in jail, not writing this review. It was an extremely rude experience that corporate will be hearing about that made me pretty perturbed.
Ma'am who singled me out, you need to not judge a book by its cover, and if you do, walk to another isle and don't very rudely mumble things like "watch him" to another employee in front of my girlfriend clearly meant for her to hear. Walmart treats their customers better, just old and angry I suppose...The item in question was $3, c'mon now.
But, as I said they do have cheap, quality materials, and we did end up spending $33 despite the unprofessional actions of the manager. New polo hat, nice bath mat, nice dinner ware, etc... All priced amazingly, just don't expect much on the service end. I guess that's how they keep the costs...
Read moreOn June 6th around 5:00-5:30pm my son and I were at tjmaxx on pleasant valley. We had an unusual yet unpleasant visit. My son had to use the bathroom very badly! We proceeded to the restrooms, and I took him into the women’s bathroom. We could see that the smaller stall was being used. The bigger stall, probably used for handicap, was slightly cracked open and unlocked so I pushed it open and there was a worker in there, and as she screamed, her exact words where “the door is locked for a reason, Jesus Christ” I immediately closed it and sincerely apologized, but thought for a moment why the hell am I apologizing ! well I replied back “ if the door was locked and not slightly cracked open I wouldn’t have been able to open it “ my son continued for the rest of the night to say “Jesus Christ” She was an older employee and wearing a mask. Mistakes happen, no need to use foul language especially in front...
