We’ve been to Boss Chick N Beer a number of times since they moved into Seven Hills, and we’ve really enjoyed every subsequent visit. While the food is exceptional, we’ve also really found the staff to be a highlight on numerous visits. On this visit we arrived fairly late on a Friday evening, and were greeted promptly. The staff made some small talk with us and explained some menu changes since our last visit (days now have particular specials and the rotating sandwich is now gone) before helping us to select some drinks based on our preferences in beers and non-alcoholics. The whole exchange is really informal, and feels more like hanging out than a traditional restaurant experience. We started with the pretzel which we’ve never had, and goodness gracious is it amazing. If you’re missing the pretzel from Porco’s or just really love pretzels, then you have to try this pretzel. Fluffy inside, lightly crunchy outside, subtle butter, and the perfect amount of salt. I don’t even like pretzels, and I loved this one enough that I’m still suggesting it to my wife (our household’s pretzel aficionado). Both available sauces are great (queso and honey mustard) and worth the splurge if you don’t know which one you like. The tenders are our go to order. They’re big for the price, have amazingly crispy breading, and are perfectly cooked. The sauces are good too, but the chicken is the star. The platter of 8 comes with two sides. The onion rings are delightfully crispy, and we tried the mushrooms which are tender and juicy. We’d choose the fries loaded over the mushrooms (which we’ve done before) if we did it again, but all the sides have been good we’ve had. Overall, everything was really good, and the prices are reasonable for the amount of food. They’re a great choice if you’re feeling fried comfort foods or amazing pretzels!

I want to tell you how my issue (below*) was handled. I posted the review below in hopes of giving this new business feedback to create a thriving new option for dining out in Seven Hills. We very much need new ideas and places for eating out as many were lost or altered due to the pandemic. That being said, the events that I described did happen but what is most important (and the reason I can change my stars from 2 to 5) is how this situation was handled by Heather, one of the owners. Her response to me was so candid! I could really feel the passion she has for creating not just a fun new concept for us to enjoy but a also in developing a customer service oriented team to run this location. Perspective is everything and her openness to objectively listen and make a plan of action to address and improve the issues that caused our unhappy experience is refreshing. I actually feel cared about, which has been in short supply with many businesses over the last two years. Thank you Heather and in advance thank your Team for wanting something better for the customers. Boss Chick N Beer will be an asset to this community and I will definitely be back for that Mac N Cheese ***********(Original Post) Mac n cheese great! Extra crispy cook on wings and tenders not so great. We were told they are not burnt but intentionally done this way. So if you like your chicken dry and incinerated this is the place for you!

I was in Cleveland on a Monday. Apparently the Cuyahoga Vegan council decided Mondays would be the vegan Sabbath in Cleveland and nearly all restaurants with dedicated vegan options / focus are closed in observation. I heard that boss chick n beer had fried tofu options. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They had a dedicated vegan specific menu which I was happy to see. I ordered 12 fried tofu bites in citrus BBQ sauce and a side of vegan ranch. The order was completed quickly but I was SHOCKED that they charged me $17+ for this. I didn't even order a drink. The fried tofu was good, but nothing amazing. Truth be told it was dry and under sauced. Again for what I paid for this I'm floored. I understand that beggars can't be choosers, but at the same time I do feel the value for the vegan option here is out of proportion. $17+ for essentially a cubed and fried block of scantly sauced tofu - and at a place where I order at the counter and eat off a metal tray on a picnic table - is just absurd to me. No sides. No drink. Just that. See attached picture. Again, happy to have the option, but the value isn't here for mid fried tofu. If you're coming for this, then skip it. Go to the chipotle down the road, get the same fast casual experience, but $17 would get you two entrees that are vegan friendly. I'm literally leaving hungry after spending $17+. That's unacceptable imo.

Delicious food, great service, friendly staff. I love their menu and the many references in it. I spoke with Will when I placed my order for pickup on the phone. It seems to me like the people who work here are trained to bring a smile to our face through our interactions. That, or their hiring team really just knows how to pick out great people with good personalities that are already naturally charismatic. Either way, every interaction I have had with their staff members were positive.

I love the decor, I love the charm and allure of their establishment. I love supporting local businesses and am very impressed with what the owners have created here, both operationally and culturally. 10/10, would highly recommend checking out their menu and trying their food. I heard about them while listening to my favorite radio station, ESPN Cleveland (850 AM Radio) -- so Ill toss this out there now that Je'Rod Cherry sent me.

I have been meaning to check them out for a while and am really glad that I finally followed through with that decision today. I will definitely be returning in the future.

The only real critique I can provide is that I wish there were a couple more options for wing flavors. If the owners read this, please consider a hot garlic parmesean sauce. The standard dry rub is fantastic but another couple of options in that department would be great as well. I love the Erie Island Smoke dry rub from Cleats and would love to see your own attempt/interpretation of trying to create something similar in the future. I would happily purchase the at-home version of that kind of rub if it was made available. I wish your business nothing but success in the future and hope you continue your partnership with the good folks at...
