Nice local store. Get there early for the specials why they still have some. 7/6/22. Stopped in to pick up five items at 10:00 and found that there was one cashier open. The line was stretched out into the aisle and a few customers had a full cart ahead of me. There were three lady associates in the aisles doing their stocking. I understand the store needs to be restocked, but the needs of your pain customers should come first. That being said, one of the associates came to the front looked at the lines and said that they were good. About a minute later another associate came up and said that she was going to open another register. She pulled the gentleman behind me and took him to the register. The cashiers need to know that there is a order in which you take your customers when opening an additional register. The gentleman and another customer got out of the store before I did with my five items. It should not have taken that long to open up another register. Since the customer does all the loading packing and cart retrieval this shouldn't be a problem. I was very disappointed in my visit.
6-18-24 Since my last post Aldi has put in self-checkouts at this location. There are 6 self-checkout registers (credit card only) and one register for all other transactions. A couple of problems I see. First, some people don't know how to ring register, and it can take quite a while for them to ring out. This causes lines. Second, if you only have a few items and are paying cash, you have to wait in line with all the large orders. Plus that one cashier is running the frontend. They are responsible for all questions and problems with the self-check out, which makes his/her line...
Read moreI'm a non local person who rejects consumerism and seeks to help the environment by reducing waste, especially by retrieving and using discarded foods and other goods. Also known as a "dumpster diver". I came across a group of workers that were very unhappy of our presence and told us to leave. While we were leaving. The manager with red hair laid hands on me, scratched my hands and tried to snatch the produce out of my hands, tried to climb in the bed of my truck and tried to go inside as well to retrieve items. She also belittled us by stating "get a job". Not knowing we own our own company and this is just a hobby. One of the workers went inside, grabbed a bottle of bleach and they poured it all inside the dumpster. Now...we wasnt harming anyone. We recycle and try to prevent waste to our environment and wasn't aware of the city ordinance. How I'm not from around here. But this group takes the award of not only purposely harming the environment by pouring bleach to prevent "dumpster divers". But also laying hands on someone while on the clock for recycling what they just threw out in the trash. Uncalled for and very unhinged group of ppl work here. The picture is of a video of them pouring bleach into...
Read moreBe aware, Aldi sells products that are not expired according to the package but have actually gone bad. I purchased a few boxes Cheerios and other cereals and i noticed that they wore stale(smelled like old cooking oil)/Rancid. I checked the expiration date and it was far in the future. I tried purchasing again in a few month but same story. This is different when i purchase from other stores. My opinion is that they have an agreement with the factory to purchase their old stock at a discounted price. And probably the factory starts counting the expiration date from when the product was packaged and not actually manufactured. I tried contacting them about this issue but they are hiding behind phone/email walls. From what i understand there aren't any kind of laws to interfere with this kind of behavior and i think they are doing it. The only reason they get two stars from me is because they have good coffee beans and good chocolates. Otherwise it would be a zero for what...
