My grandmother gave me my grandfather's Rolex when he passed. It's the most important piece of jewelry I'll ever own. It's something I want to wear to my sister's wedding and other special events in my life. The only issue was the band was broken and would open up as I walked, let alone danced. I took it to multiple jewelers that quoted me $800+. When I went to a Rolex store, they quoted me $18,000 and 2 months+ to fix it. Since it was purchased in the 70s, most of the shops I went to stated it took a "specialist".
When I walked into Eva's, I could already tell this was going to be a different experience. The walls are filled with antique clocks and watches. You can just tell this is a family owned operation run by people with a passion for what they do. They take pride in their work and you are more than just a paying customer.
The owner fixed the band on the spot in under 2 minutes, and the price was so fair I felt a need to give a 300% tip. He was the actual "specialist"
