Disappointed Long-Time Customer

I have always appreciated this butcher shop and have been a loyal customer since before they moved to their current location. However, today I experienced something extremely disappointing.

I purchased a picanha and only requested that it be sliced into 1-inch steaks. I did not ask for any trimming of the fat or removal of any part of the cut. Yet, I noticed immediately that the piece was missing its tips, which raised concerns. Upon arriving home and weighing the meat, my suspicions were confirmed — there was a significant discrepancy in weight.

After recalculating, I found that the missing weight amounts to approximately $7 worth of meat. This is unacceptable. I would like to understand how this reduction in weight is justified, especially since my request was clear and straightforward. Removing parts of the cut without the customer’s consent is, at the very least, questionable.

I got here a little after 3PM because I wanted to check this place out. Myself and a few other approaching customers were greeted by a friendly employee who said “sorry guys we close at 3 on Sundays.” No worries I completely understand, I probably should have googled the hours before driving over there. However the case, I fully support their decision of closing at 3 on Sundays!

I wish more grocery stores around here closed this early on the weekends! The employees get to make time and a half for working Sunday, and they have time after work to spend with family and friends without it being too late to do so. The Save A Lot that used to be there would close at 8 or 9 PM on Sundays. I love how this store takes into account the work life balances of its employees and wants them to be happy. Closing at 3PM is a very wise decision! I support this store!

We recently discovered international meat market right down the street from where we live in North Providence. We recently had a party to celebrate the end of the season in one year of us being in our house we ordered all of our meat from international meat market and it was absolutely amazing we have so much leftover in the freezer it’s gonna last us forever and there was an amazing prices. Not even to mention the selection within the market that we’re gonna go back and buy stuff. It’s a great little family owned market right here down the street from our neighborhood and I love knowing that it’s there.
