Mountain View Family Pharmacy — Local services in Payson

Not my personal experience but my parents are too nice to say anything. My mom had an absolutely horrible experience with this pharmacy. She was waiting on a specific brand of a prescription to be back in stock because she has had reactions in the past to other brands of this medication. They informed her they’d have it back in stock in 10 days. She waited 10 days and called again. The pharmacy tech began questioning her, asking her what kind of reactions she’s had, what symptoms, basically implying she’s making it up that she needs this specific brand. Very rudely told her no, she’d only be getting this off brand med, even though they told her she would get it after the ten days. She asked to speak to the pharmacist about it and the tech wouldn’t let her!! My mom was also just recently told she could have thyroid cancer mind you!! So my dad calls next, he does get to speak to the pharmacist, and this guy proceeds to say ‘you mean to tell me she has a reaction to the same medication with the same ingredients just because it’s made somewhere else?!’ Then accuses my dad of being the rude one and told him they could no longer get prescriptions filled at this pharmacy!! I’m honestly appalled!!! I’m a nurse and YES you absolutely can have reactions to different brands! Regardless, that doesn’t even matter compared to the level of disrespect and shocking intrusion of privacy by asking my mom about her personal health which is what a DOCTOR is for. I live a few cities away & happily spend the extra 15 to 20 mins it takes to get to this pharmacy because of how great it is. The staff is always so kind & helpful, going out of their way to keep their customers informed about their medications or insurance or anything else so there's no surprises or problems. They are personable yet professional. They are also unbelievably efficient & fast - I've been to pharmacies big & small from Orem to Santaquin & there is no comparison. Every single time I'm in & out under 20 minutes (unless I decide to wander & look at some of the fun little gifts or candy they have). I must say this pharmacy is absolutely AMAZING 😁 I was having trouble with the pharmacy I was using, not having my medication. So I called multiple pharmacy's and they either didn't have the medication or they wouldn't be accepting "new" patients!! I called this pharmacy expecting the same response and it was the complete opposite!! They accepted me on the spot and they had the medications I needed!
