After a horrible experience at a franchise hotel in downtown Pendleton that practically left us stranded, I called Wildhorse on the off-chance that they may have a room available late at night. Sure enough, they had one room left and were able to get us into a beautiful suite with a private bedroom, living area, wet bar, and 1.5 bathrooms— how amazing! The ladies working night staff at the front desk were both so sweet and accommodating, housekeeping was awesome and respected our late check-out time, and we felt very safe with security keeping an eye on the lot where our moving truck was parked.

Something worth mentioning: if you are an ambulatory wheelchair user, the suite is a fantastic option if accessible room types are not available. While there are understandably no grab bars in the regular suite type, I easily had room for my wheelchair everywhere in the main space/kitchen, the private bedroom, all around the bed, and the entire en suite bathroom. There is a step up over/into the sizable walk-in shower, but there’s also a built in bench that provides a bigger sitting area than any hotel shower bench (specifically accessible or otherwise) I’ve ever used. The bed has space underneath for a Hoyer lift, and the bed is the proper height and firmness for me to transfer into. There are also plenty of seating options, which is very nice when you need a break from a wheelchair or a bed. The bathroom was well stocked with towels, too. I didn’t feel the need to ask for extra anything, actually. All but one of our needs were met (grab bars), which is incredibly rare, even for accessible room types. Even without the grab bars, I was able to make it work with the help of my service dogs and partner, as there was enough space in the toilet room to have a helper.

As the founder and head trainer of a service dog organization, I was totally impressed with how our service dogs were warmly welcomed, the staff’s knowledge of accessibility laws (despite no obligation to follow them as a sovereign nation), and their commitment to providing a safe, pet-free environment. We had stayed at five other hotels across the Inland NW prior to our stay at Wildhorse (and countless others prior to this trip), and I can confidently say that we felt the most comfortable and welcomed at Wildhorse. We also had wonderful grassy relief areas very close to every entry, which is all too often overlooked by other hotels. This was -by far- the best experience I’ve had at a hotel as a service dog handler, and that’s truly saying something as a frequent and longtime traveler.

We travel to & through Pendleton at least once a year, and despite having some really bad experiences with other hotels in town over the years, I’m delighted to say that we finally have a reliable and comfortable hotel option at Wildhorse. Plus, it’s actually more conveniently located for our travel needs than other hotels in the area. We unfortunately did not have time to play at the Casino this time, but we’ll certainly be back for that (Utah is no fun, lol). So, if you haven’t stayed at Wildhorse before, I cannot recommend them enough— and it’s a fantastic way to support our local Indigenous Community!

Lemlmts (thank you!) for such a wonderful stay! Can’t wait to come back...

I've been coming to this casino since they first opened in a tent. Typically a tight casino with an occasional win to give you hope. My wife and I spent the 4th of July weekend there to experience the pow wow and celebrate my 69th birthday. We played all day and enjoyed some drinks losing track of time. We went to the sports bar for a late dinner. After we sat down, a cocktail waiter informed us that my wife had to much to drink, wanted to put an ink stamp on the back of her hand and took her drink away from her. Said they saw her stumble as she was walking to the bar. He must be a medical expert? I objected to the way he was rudely treating my wife. Our server came to take our order and was extremely rude and treated us like criminals. I objected again and the server called in the swat team that posses as security. (They wear bullet-proof vests and some even pack guns. Really.) This escalated the whole situation instantly. They said we were leaving but did allow us to wait for our nacho order to take back to our room. (worst nachos ever, greasy, mushy, smelly) Security should be trained better. I have never been easily intimidated and always stand my ground. They followed us all the way to the hotel desk like a pack of wolves. I should have dropped the nachos for them. After tasting them, I had to take them downstairs to find a garbage can big enough.Stunk up our room and the whole 6th floor.( I apologize to all the 6th floor occupants, elevator riders, and hotel staff) I also went to talk to a manager at the club wild desk. The manager and I went to the sports bar to hopefully straighten the situation out. Our waiter wasn't allowed to join the conversation, but when they asked him what happened, he lied. The swat team guy was very angry and nothing is resolved. I almost expected to be thrown on the floor and handcuffed. I'm very sad and disappointed that I feel too uncomfortable at this casino to return. Good luck isn't anywhere to be found in The Wildhorse Casino anymore. My wife is too afraid to return. Thanks for a swell birthday celebration. Had my first heart attack here and they almost caused another. If you go, be prepared to get harassed and possibly worse. I must add that over the years I have found the staff to be exceptional. Friendly, helpful, and kind. Almost like family. What happened...

We arrived Friday evening to check in for two nights. My husband was meeting five other guys for golf. Checked in and got ninth floor and then was told one of the two elevators was out of service. Was not terrible until Sunday morning check out, but hoofing it nine floors each time was not really an option. Room was clan, but dated and worn down. Chunks of wood out of bathroom doors and very worn down. The A/C in the rooms did work just fine, good curtains for sleeping also. Saturday, the guys played golf and I decided to go to the pool. The only outdoor pool is in the RV park a couple blocks away, with no sidewalk. I was tod at the front desk to use my ykeycard to enter the pool and towels would be provided. Well, walk to the pool and the gates have pinpads on them. I hunt around and finally find the office and they laugh at me when I tell them I was told to use my keycard. They provide the pin and then you have to walk through the women's bathroom to the very dated cement pond, with eight chairs from the mid 90's and NO TOWELS. Total waste of my time. I hoof it back to the casino and go get a players card for some blackjack. Casino was very hot and not cool like hotel rooms. The "food court" is sparse and has a couple choices, but not much. Walked past the bowling alley and theatre and looked liek standard fare. The guys get back from golf and one of them has a beer from the golf course, on property and is accosted over it and made to throw it away. I understand no outside alcohol but he brought it from THEIR golf course down the street. We clean up and try to go to Plateau for dinner at 5pm and they cannot accommodate the party, even though they have many empty tables. Told they are understaffed. Went to the sports bar, where they were also seriously understaffed. Did not try slots, table games were fine, but the casino was hot the entire stay. No complimentary alcohol while gaming. Beer was 4-5 dollars and mixed drinks 7.50. Check out on Sunday was rough because everyone was trying to use the same elevator between...

The rooms are not up to par for a casino "resort." Spring mattresses, inadequate pillows, abused furnishings, and general lack of care. The staff we interacted with were young people who seemed overwhelmed to have to speak with people and solve problems. The courtyard rooms should be banned (and burned down) and are unfit for human occupancy. The new tower rooms (touted as fancy and new) were no better than an old motel 6. This resort needs a consultant and some help setting the right experience. There is not much care to detail. The casino area itself seemed good, and the staff there were better. I would stay at a decent newer hotel in town and travel there if you want to play their games. The lower stars are accurate for the overall quality of the facility and the training of the staff. There must have been a staff elevator for the room attendants because it dinged repeatedly all through the night in an obnoxious fashion. Those have sound related settings that should be adjusted to accommodate the noise for the guests. There was a mouse dropping on the bed, the lights weren't working and the furnishings were damaged. For $150+ a night, this is unacceptable.

Perfect location for me since I can park my big rig and call for a shuttle to drive me to the casino. Winning wise its very balanced, I was there for three hours just gambling with $400.. Ended up hitting two good jackpots at the last minute to come up $100... Definitely be coming back

It's a casino, so expectations were low to start, but I must say it was still disappointing. The location is in the middle of nowhere, which means no matter what floor your room is on, nor the side of the building, the views are not worth opening your shades. You are in Eastern Oregon so it should be expected that the staff are not familiar with feeding strange creatures like myself (I self identify as Vegan which is an odity in these parts 😆 ) so the options were French fries or Onion rings with your overpriced fake meat burger 🍔 (meat should never cost less than the food the cow was fed to make the meat 🍖 😉) Staff also charged the wrong card for one of our rooms and the towels for the pool were limited to 3 on the desk each time we came by which is far too few for 6 of us going to the pool at the same time. Also, why does the pool and sauna close after 10pm instead of allowing adults to look after their own well-being like they do at the slot machines where they are happy to watch you toss your life saving down the drain and ruin your life?
