The only negative aspect about the CVS pharmacy is that they don't accept prescription discounts (Good Rx) for controlled substance medications. Anyway, I recently went to the CVS on Landers Lane in New Castle for the first time. I had always went to the Rite-Aid on Basin Road because it's close to my house. Unfortunately, the Rite-Aid went out of business, so they transferred my prescriptions to CVS, which is only a couple minutes from my house. I applied for the "ExtraCare card" and reviewed the perks of being a CVS customer, which sounded good. I had never been to that CVS in New Castle and when I walked in, I just thought "Wow, its so nice, spacious & clean!". I don't think I've ever been in a Pharmacy store that looked so good...The carpet & surroundings were nice & clean, the shelves were stocked neat and orderly, which, being a person with OCD who loves things to be organized, really appreciates how the appearance of the store is maintained. The CVS associate who rang me up was a sweetheart with great customer service skills and when she didn't have customers at the register, she was straightening up shelves and assisting customers. When I had picked up my prescription, I decided to look around and was very impressed, especially with the "Pet" section..I always pick up a toy or treat for my dogs when I shop. I initially went there just to get my medicine and didn't plan on shopping, but I couldn't pass up a box of Fruit Loops for $1.99 and a big rawhide bone for $2.99 đ There was no line, so when the associate saw that I was done shopping and heading to the checkout, she went right to the register and greeted me with a smile. Having been a cashier myself, I know how important a smile and a pleasant personality are to the customers shopping experience. I don't recall the name of the young lady who rung me up, but I hope managers at CVS recognize what a wonderful employee she is and how she goes above and beyond for the well-being of CVS. I'm also the same kind of employee with great work ethics, excellent customer service skills and a big smile along with a pleasant & charming personality. I was often told by customers that I look like I enjoy my job, which I do, and I'm sure your CVS associate does too. I can't even begin to explain how tired I am of store employees with a bad attitude who just don't care and/or cashiers who are on their phones while ringing up on the register and when they're no customers, they stand there at the register, scrolling on their phone. I don't have much faith in the goodness of humanity, so when I receive kindness & excellent customer service, I appreciate & acknowledge it. Honestly, no offense, but one of the reasons I used to choose Rite-Aid over CVS is because I had a ridiculous notion that CVS was "bougie", expensive and was where stuck-up wealthy people went and Rite-Aid was affordable & where middle class working people went, but was proven wrong on my first trip to the store. When I walked in, I admit, it did look alot more high-class/fancy than other stores and even had that clean "New Store" smell, so I assumed that everything costs more than regular (non-luxurious) pharmacy stores, but once I browsed the aisles, I learned that CVS wasn't more expensive than other stores, it was just neater, cleaner & classier. The only/last time I entered a CVS was 30 years ago at the Christiana Mall, so I wasn't familiar with CVS in general, but now that I've gone to CVS as an adult, I'm impressed & extremely pleased with the great shopping experience provided to me by your CVS store in New Castle, DE. 5 stars âââââ and a big Thank You from me, the most awesome redheaded freckled "Ginger" in...
Read moreThese people are absolutely disgusting to say the least! Nobody was up at the registers with a line! The 2 ladies blabbing to each other back by cosmetics. My card was frozen for a 3.00 purchase because my bank flagged it as fraudulent. So as im on the phone with my bank on speakerphone that they ALLLL heard I was shopping! This was in June. I was buying birthday gift bags, tissue paper for the gift bag, birthday cards, mascara ,n more. I had over 100.00 worth of stuff in my cart. The 2 employess that were more worried about blabbing instead of working n helping the line up front approached me and literally told me to stop adding things to my cart because ," THEY DIDN'T WANT TO HAVE TO PUT IT ALL BACK"!! This appalled me knowing my bank and I were on the phone. They were watching me like I was a theif. I went there all of the time and always spent money there n got my scripts! I went n talked to the manager who always said hi to me yet acted like he's never seen me before. He got smart with me and was very condescending! He didn't care that those 2 employees treated me that way either! He even said he wasn't going to do anything. I told him I was moving my prescriptions to Walgreens and they lost a big sale n a customer. He said," awwww"!! Now that is not manager material and he was highly unprofessional! And obviously CVS customer service didn't give a rats behind when I called to make the complaint! That's cool! So everyone BEWARE of the cvs on Landers Lane in New Castle, Delaware! If it was the other way around and I approached the 2 women who said that crap to me, I would have been told I was being racist! I hope your company fails like...
Read moreThe folks behind the counter are helpful, however, the process they have to put customers through is awful. If your prescription is not ready you are directed to another person. You have to repeat your issue, again, and this person typed the information into a computer. I was told they were very busy and it would take 30 minutes. I was willing to wait as I needed my medication. One hour later, I was still waiting and had to go back in line again. Yes, you guessed it, to repeat my situation with the prescription yet again. 30 minutes later, after expediting my order, I finally received my medication. I had food in the car which had gotten cold. I missed a visit from IPS, which I needed for mail order medication. Needless to say, I am not happy with CVS. I understate they are crazy busy with all the the Rite Aid customers who have come their way. But, the customer should not suffer. A. Hire more Pharmacists and techs B. Develop better systems as yours personally stink C. Train your employees on how to treat your customers D. You took on the extra customers, figure it out E. I spent quite a few years at DuPont Reengineering and Redesigning Processes F. I am willing to come to CVS to help them out with these problems. G. It is going on 4 weeks and I am still waiting on back ordered pain medications H. Find...
