Just average and nothing Healthy. As a former Bogies fan, I'm trying to give it a chance. Even tho the old decor was tired, it was more of a Night-Club feel. This is cute, well lit, very casual, very down-home diner feel. I tried a breakfast once. I ordered my eggs poached because it was the only way to avoid the grease. My poached eggs and sausage patties were over-cooked and hash browns greasy. Not awful, but definitely could be better. I had a tomato juice that was giant. Perhaps invest in some juice glasses. I had a lunch this week, as well. The patty-melt was not visibly toasted and the hamburger was overcooked to the point of crumbling. I specifically asked for my fries to be light (because previously they had been over cooked) and they still came out overcooked. They did them over and they were good. I went in Wednesday evening and, initially joined some friends that were done eating, but they did say it took a long time to get their food because the place was busy when they ordered. There were 4 in their party. The server said it's because everything is fried and they have only 2 fryers. Later I ordered wings to go and fries. Again I asked for my fries to be light, and they got that right. My wings (Garlic Parm) were swimming in a puddle of grease. I get the Garlic Parm wings at Tavern 41 all the time. At T41 they don't have fryers, only ovens, and the wings are good. The staff is great, especially Paige and Brian. The menu is big but fried. I was thinking of trying chic fried steak for dinner sometime, but they only have it as a breakfast; no mashed potatoes n gravy, or vegetables. I would love to see some healthy options; grilled fish, lean steak, vegetable. And, less "fried". My first meal was a Tenderloin n fries; both overcooked. So, as a theme I'm noticing greasy, overcooked, long wait after ordering. And, need to be very specific...
Read moreWe are there after church on a Sunday. The place was not crowded and we were seated promptly and supplied with menus and drink orders. We all had coffee. In spite of state requirements for Covid safety, our waitress and another one wore no mask, and the majority of the customers came in unmasked. We were happy to see sanitizer on the table. Our food arrived in reasonable time. The portions were large, so my wife and I split a plate. The food was well cooked but lacked seasoning... especially the country fried steak and gravy. Salt and pepper shakers were brought to the table, but they felt sticky. I finished my first cup of coffee as the food arrived, and asked for a refill, but one at our table had to wait for her pancake, and when it arrived, I again asked for a coffee refill, but I was almost done eating before it arrived, and our three cups emptied the pot. We were told a fresh pot was coming, but it didn't arrive until we asked for our bill. My wife visited the rest room only to find two young mothers in there with a herd of out of control children, including a boy who looked to be about 7. The kids were crawling around and peering under the occupied stall doors. My wife had to wait so long to get into a stall that two of the three of us were almost done eating before she had a chance to start eating. We won't...

Rhythms must happen or I feel out of sync. My mind gets all fuzzy and I can not think.
I moved here from Mesa because of a job. I am not a rich man. I have little to rob.
To set up new routines is a difficult task. I muddle through if you happen to ask. First comes the housing an arduous thing... expensive and risky and headaches it will bring.
Next come the places to rest... the parks with trails, the rivers and lakes are the best.
Then the instinct of food. Risky at best as it depends on the mood.
Waffle House for me is a staple you see. No tricks no fuss that is a big plus.
There are no Waffle Houses in Peoria... I am filled with a food dysphoria.
I sit at their counter and watch what they do. My order is quick and soon I am thru.
I found a new place somewhere to eat. The Hungry Moose. I think it is neat.
I stopped in to see what was up. I saw they had food so I thought I would sup.
The bar was my counter the stool was the same. I saw right away they were on top of their game
The menu said. "Breakfast all day". That was enough to make me stay.
The prices were good. The service was great. The food was so good. Licked clean was the plate.
I leave you this tale in earnest you see. Nothing good in life will...
