If I could give Penta zero stars, I would. My daughter currently goes there, and I'm quite sure that none of the staff have formal educations. The level of stupidity that emanates from those people is unbelievable. Unreal. Before my daughter came to Penta, she was told that if she didn't like her program, she could always switch the next year. Now they're saying she can't. She got extremely sick from the school lunch one day; and honestly, I wasn't sure if it was the school or the Texas Roadhouse we had the night before. But the next day she was at lunch, and the kids were all pointing at some kid's tray who had a whole maggot crawling out of the salad. I reported it to the Vice Principal, he didn't care. Today I got an alert on my phone saying that my daughter had a half day excuse to leave school. I called the school to inquire about the text and they said that they got a call from me stating that I was coming to pick my child up. I never called them. They are so disorganized. I'm sure they just clicked on any name on the computer and my daughter just happened to be that person. I reported that to the Vice principal. He didn't care. His response was giving: "we might be human traffickers vibes." And I know my daughter has made friends, but I really want to pull her from this school. Someone's gonna get hurt or kidnapped because those people don't care. They are simply place holders. All of them. Soaking up city dollars and showing up for a check. Those people should NOT be...
Read moreComplete lack of communication with this school. No preparation emails regarding upcoming school year or events that are occurring. Nothing provided as to what our students need to be admitted to specific programs. As a result of a medical concern, my student struggled throughout the school year and significantly at the end. Absolutely no communication from the teachers or office staff. One teacher (now retired) told me "they should know what to do in the case of not attending class in person". Only one other teacher responded and was the only one with compassion. Once a diagnosis was provided, absolutely no aid was provided and my student was denied additional services or testing (for IEP). Even now my student failed 2 classes. I happen to keep up with their grades, but NO ONE from the school ever contacted me about these concerning behaviors nor advised us as to what our options were to make up these classes. Severely disappointed with such a highly...
Read moreI just graduated from Penta. I was in Business Office Tecnologies for 2 years. I was also in the Transition to work program for 1 year. Penta is a great school! Not only I made new friends, but I also learned everything I needed to know for life in general. The teachers truly care for their students and they want them to succeed. They also help you apply for colleges you want to go to and they support you. They even give you your passport when you graduate. I miss Penta so much and always will. It was my second home and my friends were like my family there. I will forever miss waking up early everyday to go to Penta! And I would definitely send my children there if I ever...
