I would give it one star, but I'm going to be completely honest in my review.
Living here for almost three years, you would think you would see improvements here and there, WRONG. Leasing manager took us through the backside of the door, because the front door was just too unbearable to see. The front entrance side of the door is molded/rusted and disgusting I mean completely looking like its going to fall down off the hinges, and loud! The up-keep at Green Village is laughable. The hallway carpet reeks, odors, stains, etc. Want to make your place inviting for your guests, that's not going to happen; be prepared to be embarrassed. Yes its the cheapest place considering space, in Perth Amboy, but please do yourself a favor pay a little more and look elsewhere. Once you sign the lease your locked in.
I've complained numerous times about noisy neighbors living above me, having there kids running up and down hearing all the loud banging on the floors...they did nothing! Many people have moved out of our place because of the noise. These folks are vampires, sleep during the day and are out making noises, chanting and who knows rituals at 2 am.
We have a dog, and we clean-up after her when we take her out. Don't expect that in return. Because your guaranteed to step on dog-poop when you take your dog on a stroll or walk on grassy areas. They have these little dog-poop bag dispensers like two on the property which they never refill. I been living here for almost three years and they filled these up for like a month, and then that's it.
Parking is another mess. It was fine in the beginning, but then more and more cars started filling the lots. If you are not home by 9pm any day you wont have a parking spot. Be prepared to park your car outside of green village, you'll have a nice little walk to thank for.
The maintenance crew is polite and friendly, but you have like two in the whole vicinity. Don't know what Green Village is spending there money on or what there budget consists of but unfortunately this was a place where many wanted to call home, but instead is just what you call "temporary" . The upkeep is garbage, the electricity bills are ridiculous, walls are thin, parking, etc....
I get asked all the time : "I heard Green Village has spikes in peoples electricity bills" I say its everyone there. Something is off and sketchy.
Oh and another thing leasing manager told us to lock in our dog one day in the bathroom while we at work so they could work on something in the apartment. Would you lock up your kid in the bathroom the whole day, such a tiny space? We have a Golden, I mean come on!
In short, pay a little more look elsewhere you'll be...

I had a issue in the summer with the central air system I had to call them everyday to tell them it wasn't working properly he told me if I wanted to fix the problem that I had to pay a company to come fix it really it's a lease is supposed to be working smh . I was always telling them that I will be leaving this apartment because of the issue of the electricity bill being so much money and always giving them notice when I found another place to live ladies at the office made it very difficult for me making it impossible for me to leave the unit now they will be staying with more than half of my security deposit. Look for another place to live my advice to you avoid all the headaches and the ridiculous...
Read moreAwesome place really. It's usually clean throughout the entire property. There's a handful of maintenance workers. Galina is my personal favorite when it comes to maintaining the inside of the building's clean. She always do her job and more. She's constantly working always on the move. The rent is decent and the location is great. I'm close to most of the highways. Turnpike, parkway, 440, 287, 1&9. All in less than a mile. I hope this helps you decide if you want to move in. There's 1-2 bedrooms available, you should look into their app for more information. Thanks again for your time and reading. Have a...
