I totally enjoy going to this gym. They have a little something for everyone. It is easy to get in and out. Even when there are multiple people in the gym, everyone is super courteous. There are some slight annoyances. Like people talking with headphones on (very loud), people not wiping down their equipment after use, people who come in and lay weights everywhere, people who walk around in socks. There's literally a sign on the wall that say wear shoes! Just nasty. You have an array of people that attend. You have the weirdos, the nerds, the meat heads, and then the nakeds. 😆 I'm sure you can find somewhere you fit in. I'm more of the nerdy, non talkative. I may nod at you, if I even look up. Regardless its an amazing place to work out. Sometimes the music is kinda off, but you can always ask and the staff at the counter turn into DJs or just being earbuds. They are amazing!!! The staff is nice. The facility is very clean and organized. They have showers and dressing rooms with lockers. If you need to tan there are stand up and regular beds. They even have a hydro massage bed. The prices are great! With some memberships they allow you to bring a guest each day. Its amazing. With us having to open the bakery each day its nice to have options of time and locations. I am appreciative of this place. Working out and learning to eat appropriately I've gone from 258 to 167. I just cancel my subscription. I been here for at least 15 years if not more. Is been over a year I haven't come since my dad died last year. Subscription went up I didn't know I was paying more is ok i dont recall. I came with my mother because it was 20 plus a guess. Even las year I was coming with my friend at the beginning. I ask the lady if I can just get in just for this time with my mother and she just refuse I felt discriminated am pretty sure the system shows the entrys is been a while I didn't know it had gone up for bringing a guest. I try to pay but I didn't came prepare no cash no card nothing I try to do it with my phone but there is no tap system. It was not going to hurt to allow it this one time while I updated my info. It really felt it was more of racist issue more than anything else. I had had favors in the past for x or y reason. The staff is great i have used this gym regularly about 5 to 6 days a week. The maintenance on the cardio equipment is severely lacking. I have told staff about the loose belts on the treadmills when attempting to run and also when you try to increase the speed most of them do not speed up. They tell me I'm not the only customer who has brought this up. After going to the crunch in Hattiesburg the petal gym gets all of the used and abused equipment and the hand me downs. If the treadmills don't get fixed someone will have a serious injury and they owner will wish he took the time to fix the equipment because it was all preventable maintenance that needed to be done.
