Sometimes people question why would someone pay any money to go to a gym. Then if you really THINK about it, you pay more for other things combined each day or monthly That will NOT BENEFIT your body in a positive way.Why not invest in yourself and get healthy? I was that person thinking that once upon a time! I also would try to justify why I would rather buy a purse and wallet each month instead of taking that and INVESTING it I to myself and work on me! Well let me tell you that here at The Camp Transformation you get that and MORE!! So if you are looking for a place to call home and need accountability, this is your place!! Every walk of life comes thru these doors needing to make some sort of change in their life! That is the first step to this lifetime lifestyle change. You come here to build a relationship with yourself and learn how to manage what you thought you knew about food! Here you will get taught form, how to eat properly, how to lift and transform your body into something special and unique! Everyone here if friendly and helpful! The coaches all strive to help each of us while on the workout floor! I’ve been coming here for a few years now and I went from 232lbs to where I am today at a 160. Which was my very last challenge. You gain a community and a gym family when you join! (No, this is not a paid advertisement nor is it a great review to supplement any bad opinion of others that may no longer be at The Camp!) This is my very own review and I totally stand behind them 100% and recommend them to anyone looking for a real change! We have so many fun things we do at the gym, such as theme days, potlucks, members only classes, Camp Ranks, where we compete for the medals with each other ! The Camp is also a safe and no judgement zone where you can also come and workout to help you heal mentally and physically ! It’s all intertwined together! Like we say #bettertogether #ittakesavillage...
Read moreWhen I first joined to do the 6 week challenge I really thought I was going to quit. I usually have a busy schedule and knew it was going to be hard to fit workouts as well as meal prep. The cut down on ingredients you can use was my biggest obstacle. As far a workouts, the first one of course was terrible since I had such a long time out of a workout routine. After the first week, classes really didn’t affect me much. It basically turned into a routine, which was great because I like a structured schedule. The coaches are friendly, what they care about the most it seems is that you try. They want to see you motivated and want to help you reach your weight goal. Fridays for me were always intense because of the coach. He always likes to throw in extra work in-between or what he calls “half times”.However, thanks to that I can now do squats a bit better. Another coach there is super energetic and always plays good music. Very talkative which makes you feel really involved and part of a great community. The last of the main coaches is a woman. She is definitely body goals. She is strong and looks like she can kick anyone butt, which is great. She’s super kind and understanding of people’s adjustments that might need to be done. If she sees you forgot what you were supposed to do she quickly re-shows you what to do. Since I have pretty bad eye sight, that helps a lot when I can’t read the board. The owners Jas and Lou are great too, they’ve gone through the program so they can relate to what you’re going through. They always cheer you on when you go to Monday weigh ins and see progress. Overall, my experience was good and the people joining are on the same boat. Same meal plan and workout plan. So you don’t have to worry about feeling judged. I’m looking forward to continue to work on my weight loss journey...
Read moreI have finally found a gym that supports me in every way; emotionally , physically and mentally. I have belonged to one gym or another throughout my life. And to be honest, one gym was as good as the other. My workout pattern was to start enthusiastically and then I would fall off either because of a vacation, a holiday or because I got bored and just didn’t feel like going anymore. I usually would not go back to that gym and instead join a new gym and start the process again. The Camp Round Rock is a totally different experience. The workouts are different every day which keeps me from getting bored. Every trainer is extremely knowledgeable about health, fitness and proper form. Also, there is always something new going on at the camp, and they are always working to improve. The Camp Round Rock respects every persons individual needs. I remember being trained by a personal trainer at one of the chain gyms, and he was training me and a very young, strong, man. The trainer gave us the exact same workout, which just didn’t feel right. At The Camp, the coachs’ support for every individual is based on that member’s unique needs. The members are all at different fitness levels and every member is supported for who they are and what their goals are. Finally, I have to say that mentally and emotionally, I always feel better leaving The Camp. The owners are some of the most positive thinking people I’ve ever met and every person who works there reflects that attitude. The Camp cares about every member and you feel it when you’re there. Over the last year, it has become a very important part of my life and the people there have become...
