Hagert and York — Local services in Philadelphia

I’ve been a resident here for eight months now, and I truly love the community. At times, it feels like I’m living in a boutique hotel—with the café downstairs, beautifully designed meeting and workspace areas, and a well-equipped gym. One of my personal favorites is the test kitchen, which was a huge bonus for me.

What really sets this place apart is the strong sense of community. The apartment regularly hosts events that bring residents together—not only those who live in the building, but also people from the neighborhood. It’s created a social atmosphere where I’ve built genuine friendships, something I’ve never experienced in an apartment setting before.

I especially want to recognize Shaquilla for the incredible energy and care she brings to this community. She goes above and beyond—not just in organizing fun, thoughtful, and well-run events—but in how she connects with each resident personally. She remembers names, checks in with people, and is always open to feedback or suggestions. Whether it’s planning themed gatherings, pop-up markets, fitness events, or After Hours in the Café, her creativity and passion shine through in everything she does. You can tell she truly cares about building a welcoming, connected space for everyone who lives here.

It’s rare to find someone who blends professionalism and warmth so seamlessly, and her presence has absolutely elevated my living experience. She’s a huge part of why I feel so at home here.

Henry also deserves a big thank you. He’s always friendly, professional, and ready to help with anything that comes up. Whether it’s maintenance or just a quick question, he’s consistently dependable and makes life here that much easier and more enjoyable. It’s clear he takes pride in his work, and it shows in the care he gives to the building and the residents.

Hagert and York is nothing short of extraordinary. The location is unbeatable. Situated in a vibrant neighborhood with access to many restaurants and shops near by.

But it’s just not the location that makes it great but the amenities that truly set it apart. From the moment you walk through the door, you are greeted by modern design, spacious layout that exude style and comfort. The rooftop area have to be my favorite amenity to use with a great view of the Philadelphia skyline.

But perhaps what I appreciate most about Hagert and York is unbelievable staff that works here. From Day 1, the staff has shown not only me but my girlfriend the best hospitality I’ve seen from an apartment complex. From Mike and his maintenance team to Shaquila and the leasing office team, they are truly nice people and care about making sure your time is one of a kind. For that I couldn’t rave about this place more.

Where do I even start on how amazing this apartment is. Firstly I came from 2 hours out of town and We went through tons of trials and tribulations looking at apartments until I landed on this apartment. Henry is the best leasing manager I have ever met in my life. He was able to squeeze us in for a tour even though we didn't have an appointment and he looked happy to do it. He honestly could be a salesmen the way he talked so highly of the apartment building. He cracked jokes and gave all my friends a good laugh and answered every single question we had. He took us throughout a 1 bedroom and a studio and all of the amazing amenities the apartments have to offer. His friendly demeanor and personality is everything I look for in a leasing office and I put in an application that same night.
