Almost Home Coffee — Restaurant in Philadelphia

There are so many coffee shops that have opened in the area recently, that I've been scoping all of them out. Stopped into Almost Home and got their pistachio latte shortly after they opened. The concept was good, but lacked flavor. The pistachio came from the milk being pistachio and being garnished with crushed pistachio. Did not feel like it was worth the price of the bevvy if you ask me. Was also sad that this location only has baked goods and pre-prepared foods. Does NOT have what the other 'Almost Home' locations have in terms of food. They did mention trying to figure out logistics to get sandwiches from other locations to here. This location is specifically designed for the apartment building it's connected to. If you want a quality cafe with food; I would suggest going elsewhere. If you just are looking for coffee, it's fine. However there are about 5 other cafes within a five minute walking distance of this location now. So make an...

I’ve tried this place about 3 different times now and each time has been a fantastic experience. The barista is super friendly and knowledgeable. The drinks are also pretty creative. Each time I’ve gone, I’ve gotten something new. I will definitely be back and I recommend that others give it a try. It’s most certainly a splurge as the lattes will run you about $7 but hey its ok to treat yourself when the product is worth it! There’s plenty of seating and mostly importantly there are many outlets for those that want to work from the cafe. I wish there were a few more food options but that’s also not their primary function so I can’t complain too...

I plugged in here for a little bit one day. It's a super comfy space -- pretty much felt like I was lounging on a couch. It was very quiet late morning/early afternoon. There are outlets everywhere and WiFi for guests (who don't live in the building). They have a very interesting drink menu of coffee and non-coffee drinks, as well as some sweet/savory pastries and sandwiches.
