I bought my daughter's prom dress from this store. It did require some alterations and we used the seamstress that was suggested by owner Angie Weems. When I picked the dress up my daughter tried it on before leaving the store. The alterations were horrible! The skirt hem was uneven all around and shorter in back than front. The clasp on the top had to be replaced as well and they were not secured very well at all. I expressed to the owner that I was very displeased with the dress and she told me that I had taken a risk having the dress altered although she never expressed any concern for the alterations when dress was bought. She was very rude and unconcerned! After getting home I had my daughter try on the dress again so I could see if there was anything we could do to salvage the dress but the newly applied clasp that the owner recommended placing on dress came loose and was going to have to be replaced. I called Special Occasions on two different occasions and the owner would not speak with me nor return my calls. I never received any apology or offer to reconcile my daughter's poorly altered dress. She was kind enough to mail me the piece of fabric that was cut off the dress to prove that only 2 inches was cut off the dress (which was NOT the main problem). It did prove however how uneven dress was cut. It was 1" in some place and up to 2 1/2" in others. So, after spending $350 at Special Occasions my daughter could not wear the dress to prom. We had to get another dress for her to wear!! I will never shop here again! This was the worst customer service I have ever...

Miss Angie is awesome! She greets you at the door with a smile! She is laid back enough to give you some room to decide how you feel about a dress yet is attentive enough to give you some direction when you need it. Also, she does not stick strictly to what's in your "size". She knows her dresses so well that she's able to suggest dresses outside of your size that work perfectly because they can be taken in and even let out!! She has great references for alterations and will even assist you in meeting with the recommended tailor! She goes above and beyond the call! Wonderful dress shop for any...

I went to find a dress for the upcoming Military Ball that will be in December 20222 in Philadelphia, MS. I decided to go look for dresses in the Philadelphia area. As I entered into town, I stopped at Special Occasions and let me tell you they did not disappoint! I tried on several dresses and found this beautiful gold dress. I also found the gold shoes, shawl, and earrings for a reasonable price. Ms. Angie and Madison were very helpful every step of the way. I can now check this off my list and focus on a hairstyle.
