Free tours by foot is definitely the best way to see this awesome city!!! We took three of the tours..all the tour guides are super knowledgeable!! We took the ghost tour and the 4 hr Philly tour with Jenn… let me tell you… this girl loves this city and knows soooo much!!! She taught us a ton of fun history, and we got to see the cool stuff that major tour don’t take you too.. we thought the ghost tour would be hokey.. but nope it was awesome!! The guides will tell you all the best places to eat and visit… we will DEFINITELY be back and will take the rest of the tours we didn’t have time for! Free tours by foot is such a special thing for cities to have!! You can give the guide what you feel they deserve based on their knowledge and how fitting you feel… just keep in mind that this IS their job…even though the name says free tours…these guides work really hard…and the cool thing is…all the money you give them goes..right to them! Not a big for profit company that is out to make money off tourists… these guides are locals who love their cities and really just want to share it...

I did the 10:30 AM Independence Mall Tour Philly Tour with them on a Monday in late June 2022. I walked to the Betsy Ross House, the meeting place, from the place I was staying. If you need to use the restroom before the Tour, use the one in the Betsy Ross House because the one in the Starbucks across the street didn't have any toilet paper.

We had a very big group but Toni kept us all together. She is such a gem - a much better storyteller than the Tour guide from the Independence Hall. This tour with Toni made up for the anticlimactic one from the Independence Hall.

She was very thoughtful and made sure we always stopped in the shade since it was a very hot day. Her stories were entertaining and engaging. I loved all the historical snippets she'd give us about the timeperiod of the founding fathers.

We got so lucky because Benjamin Franklin's printing press was finally opened after a 10-year closure. Such a great addition to The Tour. You donate whatever you want at the end and I would highly recommend it if...

I hired Jenn & her guides in 2023 and 2024 for a private walking tour of Philly and they went reasonably well. We especially enjoyed our guide Toni ("Nana") in 2024.

Jenn is very knowledgeable and is full of information, but a little too much detail for my 2023 group of 8th graders and for the time frame we had. It's very important for a guide to "read the audience" to know when to abridge the amount of info given.

The main shortcoming of the FreeTours is the unresponsiveness to emails. In Feb 2025 Jenn confirmed us for an April tour but never followed up as we got closer to the date. She never responded to any of my emails after the initial confirmation on Feb 5. I contacted one of her guides directly who contacted Jenn on my behalf. Jenn told her that she'd be in touch with me, but I never heard from her. I ended up guiding the group myself.

The tours are good, but a competent company needs to be able to respond to customers in a...

We recently took Jenn’s “Real Philly: Society Hill, Italian Market, Mural Mile” tour, and it was a fantastic experience! Jenn was incredibly knowledgeable, sharing a wealth of information about the city and its history, and her love for Philadelphia really shone through. The tour was longer than the ones I typically take, but the lunch break at Reading Terminal Market provided a perfect pause and made the experience feel well-paced. Jenn expertly guided us through many areas of the city, showing us far more than we could have ever covered on our own. Even though the weather wasn’t ideal, Jenn went out of her way to adjust the route and keep us as dry as possible, which was greatly appreciated. I highly recommend this tour for anyone looking to explore and learn about Philadelphia in-depth.

Great tour! I signed up very last minute after considering just walking out on my own. It was great to have a group to walk with. Josh was a great tour guide and I learned a lot. If I had not gone on the tour I may have only seen 2 of the landmarks and would not have learned as much. I love that It is for all income levels. That is made clear and no pressure is applied to pay. They accept all forms of payment but I wish I had thought to bring cash. Very happy to hear they accepted Zelle. I’m happy to support a place that can provide this service to people who may otherwise not be able to afford It . I love how passionate Josh was about Philadelphia! It was contagious :)
