Anytime Fitness Moon Valley — Local services in Phoenix

I recently moved to N. Phoenix after living in Chandler for a few years and using the same anytime there. I have to say I was very dissatisfied with all of the anytime locations around my area. They either had lack of equipment or parking or both. That is until I visited this location yesterday. Let me say I am not only impressed but excited. This location obviously has an exceptional owner and staff as well. This gym is HUGE and has every machine that is on my checklist for a great full body workout. It is extremely clean and all of the equipment is like new. This location is the size of all the others in this area put together and much nicer! I have never been to an anytime fitness that even comes close to this location and I have visited more than 20 around the valley. This should be a model gym for any franchise and the corporate office should build their business models off of this location moving forward. I can go on and on but I will leave it at this. I recently moved to Arizona and currently researching fitness centers in my area. This fitness center advertised a one week free “No obligation” 7 day trial if you schedule an appointment. I scheduled an appointment today at12:30p, toured the facility, which was nice. However, I wanted to use my one week free access just to get a feel of the facility before signing up for membership. The manager told me that in order to get the free trial, I had to pay $10, for the “free no obligation access “. He said it would be deducted from the membership once I signed up. However, the purpose of the free access is to use the gym first to determine IF I want to sign up. Therefore if I decide I don’t want to join, the free trial isn’t actually free or without obligation. I really was thinking about signing up to this gym because of its location and access, but I changed my mind and will continue my search for a gym that’s honest up front and really do want...

Update 9/13/24:

The community board mentioned upgrades coming in the future, which is great. New treadmills were installed as promised. There was a broken exercise bicycle that got replaced, it was the only broken machine I've seen at the gym in the two years I have been coming here. Pretty good in my opinion!

The corner squat rack needs the wooden flooring updated. It feels uneven, and when I am doing squats I go to the other areas instead.

I've only had positive interactions with the staff, everyone has been professional and friendly.

This is a really nice AF location, and I appreciate the amenities and cleanliness. The towels for use and for cleaning are almost always in stock, and wipes are always around as well which is very appreciated. No machines or equipment are left broken.
