Do not sign up for PT unless you really want it, know what you’re paying for, and look at the contract!!! EoS will sales pitch you into signing up for PT and then not keep their promises. I am having a horribly experience with this location and the manager. He convinced me to sign up for personal training. I told him no, let me go home and see if I can afford personal training. He told me to just sign up now because it is $19 down today only, and if I don’t sign up now I won’t get the promotion. He told me if I realized I couldn’t afford PT after looking at my finances, then all I have to do is cancel within the first two PT sessions and I will not be charged for anything. (Great sales tactic, get people to sign up and hope it works out, or they forget they are getting charged at all.)
So I end up cancelling because I cannot afford the payments since my student loan payments have increased. I sent the manager an email about this, my personal trainer was made aware of my cancelling, I spoke with the front desk and filled out a cancellation form. I had no reply back from the manager, my personal trainer said she would check in with him, and I saw my cancellation for PT was denied. I called in and an employee told me I was okay and my PT was cancelled and I wouldn’t get charged anymore. The employee was wrong because I was charged a third time after I was told I would only have the two charges from PT for two sessions. Great.
I finally speak to the manager in person at EoS and he gives me his number and tells me he will refund me like we spoke. He texted me his name but there has been no refund, I was in fact charged again a third time as I mentioned before, and he is not answering my text messages with any update about a refund.
I’m so disappointed in EoS. This is unprofessional and sleazy. I am being avoided by the manager and the rest of the employees are giving me inaccurate information or they are poorly trained. What a shitty practice to tell a new member signing up that they can “cancel their PT contract within the first two sessions and won’t be charged at all”. When really it takes an arm and a leg to get out of a PT contract while the manager avoids you. Great, so EoS has my money that I didn’t actually agree to spending “just sign here, here, and here and if you cancel you’ll get refunded” and no one will answer me!!!! I’ve called, texted, and sent so...
Read moreEoS Fitness is facing several lawsuits, including a class action alleging deceptive membership practices and a case involving a molestation incident at a gym childcare facility. Additionally, there are ongoing investigations into hidden fees and a lawsuit related to a lip balm product. Class Action Lawsuit: A class action lawsuit was filed against EoS Fitness, alleging that the company misrepresented its higher-tier memberships by claiming they offered exclusive access to premium amenities that were actually available to all members. The lawsuit argues that EoS Fitness used this tactic to unfairly increase revenue by charging more for memberships that didn't offer the promised premium features. Childcare Incident Lawsuit: A separate lawsuit was filed against EoS Fitness related to a molestation incident at the gym's childcare facility. The incident involved a 13-year-old boy molesting a 5-year-old girl in the daycare center. The lawsuit alleged that EoS Fitness was negligent in supervising the children, as the daycare center was understaffed at the time. The jury awarded the plaintiff $13 million, finding the gym 100% at fault for the incident. Other Lawsuits and Investigations: ZR Claims is investigating EoS Fitness for potential hidden fees, specifically for purchases made online. A lawsuit was filed against the makers of EOS lip balm, alleging that the product caused blisters and rashes due to false advertising of its natural and organic claims. EoS Fitness Response: EoS Fitness has not issued a public statement regarding the class action lawsuit. In the childcare incident case, the gym initially contested the extent of their liability but eventually stipulated to partial liability and admitted to negligence. In the lip balm case, the company stated that their products are safe and meet safety standards, and that they are tested by an...
Read moreSo I called in this morning and spoke on the phone with a rep who took my information, then transferred me over to someone named Geo, once on the phone with Geo, he was really nice, I explained to him that I just wanted to tour this gym and I previously had a membership but cancelled due to not having time to utilize it. So I wanted to tour this one, get the vibe and go from there. Geo said it was cool and we made an appointment for same day at 10:30am. I arrived at 10:30 and I had to sign into a iPad with all the information I had just been asked over the phone. After I was done, the rep stated Geo would be right out to assist. After 15 mins of waiting and no updates, I headed out of the gym upset because I wasted my time. However, Julian the “general manager” according to his badge, caught me walking out and stated Geo was finishing up and was almost ready for me. Once inside, Geo in fact wasn’t ready and Julian stated he would help so I was happy. He took me to his desk and immediately started talking numbers even though I explained I was aware of the prices due to looking them up online before coming in. I explained to Julian that I was just looking to tour and feel out the gym to see if I liked the atmosphere. He continued to reiterate the prices and let me know that they were promotional and wouldn’t last long. I then reiterated that I was only there for a tour. However, no tour happened, after I explained I wasn’t ready to sign up today, the conversation pretty much ended and Julian thanked me for coming in. So NO I will not be joining EōS, my time was just wasted waiting, and I wasn’t even given a tour which is what I came in for to begin. I feel like the main motivation was money, what I wanted was never acknowledged, that’s very disappointing!!! If I could give 0...
