I’ve been a regular customer here for quite some time and have always enjoyed the fresh produce, particularly the Hatch Green Chilies, and the delicious food from the kitchen. My son and I love the rotisserie chicken, and we’ve always appreciated the quality of service the store offers.
However, I wanted to bring to your attention a recent, unpleasant experience involving a cashier who I believe is named Isaiah (based on what another employee mentioned). He’s a young gentleman with glasses and black hair who often works at the self-checkout. Unfortunately, his behavior has been far from professional.
During multiple visits, I’ve observed that Isaiah is more focused on his phone than on assisting customers. Now I understand food city caters to the Hispanic population, this evident by all the hand written signs are only in Spanish with no English subtitles. I am always asking people on my side of the counter to translate. I understand people have bad days I am guilty of that myself. In this day and age we all need to be aware of our own actions so no perception of prejudice can...
