The Meltdown — Local services in Phoenix

All I wanted was grilled cheese. It’s 3:30am and I’m studying for midterms and all I wanted was two grilled cheese sandwiches for me and one for my boyfriend. The simplicity is what drew me in. I wanted mac and cheese but couldn’t find any so I compromised and decided to support this business despite my inner conflict. But no. I couldn’t have that. I couldn’t have my simple desires. They had to add beef and onions.

Listen, I’m all for meaty cheesy sandwiches. But not now. Not when I needed the simplicity the most. When I’m studying trigonometry and trying to memorize the unit circle I don’t need to also deduce the right way to carefully remove caramelized onions from my melty cheesy goddess of a sandwich. I need to focus. Not struggle.

I didn't realize that "meltdown" is actually a Dennys in disguise. The food and service sucks as bad as you'd expect from a 3rd rate, made up restaurant derived from a 3rd rate fast food breakfast company. I'm truly astounded at the marketing genius though. Rebrand yourselves as something worth-while without offering anything new or better! It tricked me. It won't again. Terrible food. Worse service. Meltdown is Dennys quality all around while masquerading as something new, unique, and worthy of trying. It isn't.

This is my family's Denny's, the food is always good and staff is wonderful. The reason we come back so often though is Jhoanna! She is AMAZING! No dis to everyone else, you are all great, but Jhoanna won my family's heart with her loving and personable nature. She is always professional and friendly. She has no problem going above and beyond. She does it so well, you don't even realize she just did it. These Denny's is the best we've visited and have never had a complaint.
