After my really unsatisfied experience at the Tempe university area pho restaurant last weekend, I visited this one. Pros: 1, Spacious, clean, no loud customers, waiters are attentive. 2, AmAzing food. 2.1: The no. 11 pho (beef short rib pho, which the ribs are both pretty long hahaha!) is freaking good! To start from its broth! Cos the broth is so good, so beefy and with the perfect amount of hint of natural sweet from small portion of onions and seasonings, and there is no water down (like the place I reviewed last time ugh, check out that review of mine, make sure you don't thrown your money away when you visit the nice Tempe's university area). 2.2: The Chef Special seafood aka the fried fresh jumbo prawn andbsft shell crab udin noodle soup is very good too. The amazing part is the texture of the their odon combine with their zesty light green sauce (sorry forgot to take a pic!) I can't name it but remembered the scent and flavor from some deepest memory from my Asian childhood. It is extremely touching! Especially in this time when you have limited chance to visit families anywhere on this planet.... 2.3: Their Thai tea is absolutely authentic too: bold tea flavor, sweet level is just right, and the amount of ice is just right as well. The boba part is average/standard for Phoenix area. I personally prefer to have my boba somewhat bigger and softer/bouncier. 3, Their bus person is with a relaxing and grounded energy, makes me feel the back kitchen atmosphere must be really healthy, therefore their food would carry good chi energy as well.
Cons: (not really a con but can improve) The pho noodle is decent/average/standard. The noodle from my last pho place is top notch, hope 602 would find out where they get it. There is really no real cons, I am curious about many other dishes already.
Definitely recommend!
? PS, a question: I noticed all the staffs are young guys, I wonder why they don't have female/girls. Maybe because the bowls are...
Read moreOk I order a spicy beef soup and on line it shows a picture of a beef rib. But when I got the order there was no beef rib so I pulled out my phone to show the gentleman the picture and I was told that it's not the spicy beef soup that shows in the picture on line and that it's number 19 on the menu. So I said ok let me place a order for #19 and I was told that it's 13 dollars which I didn't mind that. Ok now here's where it gets good so for the first soup I paid 13 dollars and got everything for it like the broth mint left noodles etc .. now when I paid 13 dollars for the second soup all I got was 1 beef rib and nothing else no broth no noodles or mint etc... just 1 beef rib and when I tried to ask why did I receive only one beef rib without the broth noodles etc... I was told that I have everything from the first soup order. So therefore I paid 26 dollars plus tax for one soup. Which to me was wrong and disappointing so now I will no longer return to this place again nor will I recommend...
Read moreWe came here December 2023. It was a pleasant surprise to discovered a good Viet restaurant with authentic food. We came back Dec. 2024 and basically had no service. It took a long time to get a table, a long time to get our drinks and a long time to get our orders in. I reminded the waiter 3 times for my hot water, my nephew order a Thai tea which he did not get until his meal was already eaten. My sister and I ordered our favorite which was bun rieu with the soft crab. It was flavorless, not the same as Dec. 2023. The vegetables for the soup were not served, we had to ask for it, and by the time it came out, the soup was already half eaten and luke warm. We talked to a young lady about the service, she was apologetic but that can’t make up the bad service we had. The fried banana was also a missed. Full of batter, greasy and hardly any banana. We also had to get our bill at the counter since I had to get to the airport, I couldn’t wait for them. What a...
