Jacob's Plumbing LLC — Local services in Piedmont

There really aren't enough words to express how thankful I am for Jacob's Plumbing. I am a big person on reviews, and after googling plumbers in my area, Jacob's Plumbing appeared with five stars and awesome reviews. I called on Monday morning because our hot water heater was busted. I spoke with Jacob and from the beginning he had a very warm and inviting spirit. He told me that he had an availability for Wednesday morning, gave me the very reasonable dispatch fee that would be assessed, and advised that he would be sending the technician, Kelsey, out between 9am and 11am. Wednesday morning, Kelsey called me at 8:38 advising that he would be on his way if it was ok. When he arrived, he was very friendly and thorough about what he would be doing. Within a few hrs, he had spoken with the warranty company, removed the old water heater, picked up and installed the new water heater. He even played with my dog a little and allowed him to stay out while they worked. The price that was charged for the service was very reasonable, and he gave me a quote for another issue that I will be calling them for. Made appt with Jacob on his cell phone Monday to install some faucets. He said "Thurs and Fri are wide open for me". I picked Thurs and he told me he'd "be here on Thurs at 9am". No call, no show today. We waited until 9:40 then called him to see where he was. After a long, silent pause he said that he did remember talking to me and making appt but had asked me to text my info after because he was driving. I texted him info immediately after ending call. He says he never got text and that it " must be some issue with my provider". He then asked me to send my old text to him so he could see it. I did have it (ha!) and he said he didn't get it yet texted me back to "try it" and I got his text. He then proceeded to tell me that he "had a really big job come up" and that he "couldn't get to us for at least another week". Obviously he got a bigger job and blew us off. A call would have been appreciated so we could find another....HONEST and reliable....plumber. A lousy thing to do and we will obviously be...

Months later they returned at my request and made adjustments to the system. NO CHARGE. I would add another star if that was possible.

Jacob's Plumbing replaced our old gas hot water heater with a tankless unit. The technicians were knowledgeable in both the product and its installation. They explained our options, patiently listened to and answered our questions, and completed the work in a timely way. They worked efficiently and left a clean work area.
