Dollar General — Local services in West Pelzer

We always shopped in the dollar store for the last 7 years. But we wont shopping there any more from today. The woman that served us today refused to tell us her name, when I asked her, because she gave us a horrible service. The woman that worked there today, was rude and without teeth. She followed us around and ask us if we will purchase the items we are selecting. That is bad customer service. We felt she was scared from us, like we will be going to steal something from the store. She told us also if we dont follow her policy that she will call the police on us. We were only there to shop, not to steal. I dont know where she got all those ideas. And she was treating us to call the police. My daughter pick two items and she was looking at them. We were not going to buy them yet. But we were not doing any thing to caused her to feel scared. We are normal every day people, I am a teacher and my husband is a grocery worked. We have two children and we have only good intentions. This shop has not been good ever since Jody the old manager left. But that woman is the worst worker I have ever seen in the whole of United State. Please fire her! She worked on sunday Jan 19th at 11.40am. She refused to...

This is a sad little store. I was in there about 5-6 months ago and I couldn't find I forget what it was I was looking for but anyway I asked one of the clerks if they had this item I was looking for and she stood there and looked at me and says I don't think so. And I says well can you tell me where it might be or can you help me find it and she just rolled her eyes with her hand on her hip like it was such an inconvenience for her to take three or four steps to help me. So it's not a very good store actually the manager lives behind me. I don't mind saying this I don't mind posting it but this girl is so nasty their backyard is just looks like a when you would take your trash and dump it. I've had the log out here because she keeps throwing messy baby diapers and garbage down on my property this is my property I own it and the home that they live in is full of rats and bugs and oh my God it is unreal and this girl is the manager up there at this Dollar General. Oh well I will probably be calling the law...

I over rated and out of kindness allowed myself to give 3 stars, my initial thought would be a 1. Taking in consideration I've work retail many years, matter fact for this company. Therefore i realize much of the issues you encounter aren't the result of the person you usually see that's running the register takin her precioussweet molasses time to check out the 10 customers in front of you. the, The upper management expects productivity that creates profit. Smart idea, NO, simply because they want to run the stores on a skelton crew. This creates lazy burnt out employees. Regardless of how we're treated as a customer not jus one on one, but stocked shelves, new merchandise and decent restroom smiling faces, ect. There's many sway to show a customer you care that its your store that was chosen for their shopping need. Get it together...
