I went to this mall for the second time today. I came on the day of the grand opening, and it was scary how busy it was, so my daughter and I left. I was a little weary coming back since today was still a Saturday. It was more manageable, getting around. I found a piece of glass(as a collector) that I really wanted for my birthday. It was in a case, and kinda pricey but I made the conscious decision to purchase said piece. The owners were very nice, and helpful but when they rang me out my total came out to over $600. The piece was $550. But the tax to use my credit card was almost $18. On top of that the sales tax was just over $37. I have been to several antique malls in this region. All of the ones in Greater Cincinnati. Several times. And I have never paid over $50 in "fees". I should have said no thank you to the purchase. However I let my anxiety get the best of me. I went ahead and paid the total amount. That is the last time I visit. I'm an avid glass collector, and the antique malls are my happy place...sad to say, my daughter and I will not...
Read moreWe went on grand opening weekend and the whole parking lot was full! They even had food trucks and live music out front. When we walked in we were immediately met with a line that went to the other side of the building, makes sense for how large the event was. There are tons of booths, variety and selection so expect to be there for a while (it took us over an hour to go to every booth). Then, yes, the line. We were in it for almost 2 hours. But we chose our fate, we saw what we walked into. And if you have ever been to something like this before (Riverside Centre for example) then you would know that they have vendors. Which means they have to log everything into the computer correctly so people get their pay…. Which apparently Spencer & Carter don’t know about (the only 1 star reviews)… Looking forward to going back!😆
BTW the workers ensured anything breakable was packaged correctly, the owners were on the registers going as quickly as possible with an upbeat...
Read moreThis mall has it all. Antiques are its specialty, but it offers so much more. The mall is very well organized, clean, the staff are wonderful and will help you with whatever you may need. The variety of what booths have is amazing. The store is fully stocked and is always rotating products to make each time you visit a unique and worthwhile experience. Personally, I found many items for all places in my house. A kids wooden rocking chair, a ceramic bowl for my kitchen counter, a vase for flowers, some pieces for the walls in my house and I have my eye on some other pieces too! The owners are great people too. They are public servants (nurse and respiratory therapist) who wanted to work with people in a different way, giving small businesses opportunities as well as bringing some more business life to the East Side area. I encourage you to check Amelia Antiques out. You will not be...
