Went there yesterday about 1:15 p.m., there were four customer cars in the parking lot. My wife was on a little scooter board having just had foot surgery earlier in the week. So it was the two of us and our teen daughter and grandson. We stood at the hostess desk waiting to be acknowledged for better than 3 minutes according to the clock on my phone while we watched a heavy set gentleman who was supposed to be the front manager in white shirt cutting up with the girls. When we were finally acknowledged by the young girl with the sparkly face mask she took us to The far side of the restaurant and seated us gave us our silverware and said our server would be right with us. 13 plus minutes later no server appeared no drink orders taken nothing! We got up to leave and as we were rounding the corner the little hostess said thanks for coming in today have a great weekend. I explained to her that we had never even been served and I would like to speak to the manager. He finally came out after a couple minutes identified his self as George. I asked George if we could go out and talk in the entryway as I did not want to let any conversation carry over to the four tables of customers that were sitting in there. I explained to him what happened and the situation and his response was I don't want to pass blame but it's the guy in the white shirts responsibility to take care of the dining end and manage the girls but he likes to stand around and BS with them. I'm thinking, wow you were the manager of the store and you just said that to me? He said he was sorry, but it was not heartfelt if you know what I mean.
George if you read this, I would think it would be your responsibility to make sure that ship is sailing properly in all aspects. We have been patronizing this location for 10 plus years easily as a family . It has always struggled but just keeps seeming to get worse every time we go. We drove the extra 20 minutes on up the road to Cherry Grove... Was greeted as soon as we walked in the door and seated . Our server had taken her complete order within 3 minutes of being seated. The food was hot and the server continually checked on us even though she had several tables. Perhaps George it would be a good idea for you to spend some time at Cherry Grove to learn how to run a store ,they have their...
Read moreI dont usually leave bad reviews cuz i know it may not always be that way BUT this place declined so much. Dine in is usually great, and depending on the crew evening take out usually isn't to bad, but SEVERAL times weve carried out around 3 to 4 and we have problems. We usually spend anywhere from 40 to 50 dollars everytime we order here for 2 ppl. Food is either over cooked or under cooked and when u call to say something they usually give massive attitude and tell us it's cooked the way it's supposed to be. (I ordered medium well and it was MORE than well done) my husband has had multiple burgers he asked for well done and it was practically raw, but we were told it's medium well and that's how it should be (he even ended up sick after eating it)... we've worked in this industry before and know the difference. They are extremely rude. Sides are like half of what you'd expect. We counted the fries there were 19 French fries (less than a handful barely took a corner of the to go box) We ordered a family size Cole slaw and only received 1/2 a container. Walking in to pick the food up the server was loudly exclaiming how much she hated this place and job. Constantly rolling her eyes when my husband was trying to tell her what was wrong. At first first she was OK and understanding when she saw the fries and offered to make more but we declined so the rest of our food wouldn't end up so cold before getting home but once he started pointing out our other problems she quickly became dismissive. The manager was less than 5 ft away and didn't intervene or say a word even tho she was doing absolutely nothing but standing there staring. If you do eat here make sure to DINE IN and if something is wrong make sure to say something! They depend on us feeling we need to be to polite to say anything but I work hard for my money and would appreciate getting what...
Read moreMy husband & I used to eat here about once a week and have always loved the food. Until our last visit, 6/10/18 We went in for Sunday morning breakfast. We were sat at the first booth closest to the cooks area. We ordered our usual breakfast. Western omelet & hashbrowns for me with bacon & sausage patties. My husband got French toast, 3 eggs, hashbrowns, bacon and sausage patties. Let me just start by saying our patties were not cooked throughly so we politely asked the server to have them cooked again. They came back out raw again. The hashbrowns were raw as well & I mean RAW! They tasted like a raw cold potato. My bacon was burnt on one end & raw on the other end, I'm not sure how that happened. My omelet & my husband's eggs tasted like they had been thrown in the garbage before they were served to use. We overheard the cook, Chris, ask our server if we wanted our patties cooked well done, then he said to her "if they want them done better than that, they'll have to go somewhere else". That's when we received them raw the second time. We've never had a bad experience at Bob Evan's until now. This was so bad, we will never be back & believe me, we have told everyone we know about the experience. We couldn't even get an apology & still paid $36 for the trash we were served & didn't eat! I felt like I was being served food I would give my dog. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone anymore, unless they get a different cook & make sure the managers are paying attention to what the customers are...
