Never in my life have I been treated like this by a merchant. Their return policy was not clearly stated on their mobile website and now they are trying to keep my money $1955.30 and the products that I returned to them. When I spoke to someone on the phone it was a man and told them that their return policy was not clearly stated until the item was already delivered. I told him I was going to return the items to them and he said he was going to “refuse the package.” I have never had a company never answer the phone for me, Hang up on a police officer who try to call them in reference to my items that they have in their possession along with my money. Now I am in Aberdeen North Carolina within a consumers affair attorney to get my money back because I am not letting this company get away with ripping me off and stealing from me. I ordered a very expensive piece of furniture from Michael at Cottage Chic. The piece was available locally but I chose to go through Cottage Chic because Michael offered me a better price than I could get locally. The delivery date was delayed and delayed again. I began to wonder if I'd been taken advantage of. Then, I read the online reviews saying this business is a scam. I totally panicked. I called and Michael assured me my item was at the manufacturer. I called the manufacturer to double check and they confirmed it was there and awaiting pick up. Michael was telling the truth. Today I received my item. I love this store!! My mom has been a long time customer of Cottage Chic and even got one of the designers to help me with my new house in Raleigh... I am obsessed. I wish I could have everything in the store. We have started with my living room and its coming along beautifully. Kelly even helped me pick out the perfect wall color for my space... Granted things did take a little time to get here, but everything was custom so I didn't mind waiting! Now that my sofa and armoire are in the space I couldn't be happier... my room looks so chic and perfect. I can't wait to do my bedroom!...
