At $50 per "round" it's not cheap to play here. However, boy is it fun. The holes range from 127yards to 56 yards. Really, don't focus on that - you'll be challenged. It's a great way to practice your irons and your short game and putting. When they write "replays" they mean that the $50 fee covers you all day for as much as you'd like to play. We played about 32 holes, roaming the nine and jumping around a bit when we ran into some groups.
Thoroughly enjoyed the experience, fixed some chipping and putting woes, and had a good time. They also provide Adirondack chairs and a place to get beverages, which overlooks the 9 holes. Very nice.
One caution: when we played we were hitting off matts because of a rainstorm the night before. Would have been nice to know beforehand. Worth asking about before...
Read moreSuch great fun to play a fun little course in a beautiful place with very low pressure. As someone that only plays about once a year I was very nervous when first teeing off in such a distinguished place, but quickly realized that everyone is just relaxing and having a good time. We enjoyed having a beer from the 91st Hole and watching others enjoying the course and the practice putting greens almost as much as actually playing. A very fun...
Read moreI came in from Durham to go to Pinehurst for a golf tournament and played Pinehurst #1 the first day. Then the next day I tried out the Cradle. Such an amazing 9 hole par 3 course. Very cool and short holes to play on. The person running it in the stand is very polite as well. You can have all you can play and it’s very affordable. Around like $20-$30 per person I believe. Really cool place and we’ll...
