EDIT: The cane broke after approximately 2 weeks of regular use. Not a high quality product at all. My 1 star review would be a 0 star if it were an option. WARNING FOR CANADIAN AND INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS The cane I ordered was fine enough, but I wanted to write this review as a warning for my fellow Canadian/international customers: the price on the website, and indeed the price at checkout is not what you can be expected to pay. At no point in the shopping experience does this business make it clear that YOU are responsible for the customs fees, which I have since found out is a reason that several other people have returned the product/left poor reviews. This wouldn't be a problem if they simply made this clear during the buying experience, or if the customs fee wasn't so weirdly high. I was charged $25 on a $75 purchase. I can't fault the company for the price of the fee, but I can say that this is literally the first time I've ever been blindsided by a 30% increase in price a few days after a purchase. This felt intentionally deceitful on their part. Despite a decent product and good customer service, I cannot in good conscience leave a review higher than 1 star, as, well, this review is literally a warning. If you, like me, have been surprised by this massive and hidden fee, don't bother calling customer support. Despite their attempts to be helpful, they made it clear that it was out of their hands, and that they were unable to do anything. Very nice looking, sturdy cane; expertly crafted from quality materials; custom cut for my height and delivered quickly at no additional costs to me! I am 6'4" and weigh around 300 lbs, overall it is difficult to find a cane to fit my height and weight. Many stores do not carry canes for the relatively small group of people needing extra tall and extra strong canes. Fashionable Canes actually has a nice selection of canes and walking sticks for people my size at a fair price! They even teach you how to be accurately fitted for your cane on your way to checking out with your purchase from the website. I was not endorsed, coerced or compensated in any way for this review. I just want other big and tall people to know Fashionable Canes has a good selection of great canes at good prices for us! The only thing I can't speak on is their customer service because there was no need; Fashionable Canes got my order right the first time, packaged it with care and delivered it quickly! So either I'm the silliest person or .. I bought a leki carbon fiber cane from this place via the Internet. Everything has been perfect until the top of the "wanderfreund soft antishock " handle broke off. So yeah it's over three years should I expect anything. Let me kindly remind you that if I had bought this a REI , I could walk in 20 years from now and get it either fixed or replaced. That's a fact. So the boss who finally got to my customer phone call told it to me succinctly: "we are not REI" and we don't service or sell spare parts. You are out of luck. So I called leki USA customer service and guess what : they know all about the handle issue and mailed me out the replacement. So that leaves the simple question is my one star admonition justified after the excellent initial customer service.
