The food is fine, not the best Thai food in the area but it is open late. They do weirdly have really good wings, so we used to be frequent customers. Their customer service has always been lacking but today was the final straw. We waited for over an hour for a takeout order. There was ZERO communication and we were NOT told it would take that long. They didn’t offer any water or anything while we waited and we watched several table sit, eat, and leave while we waited. I don’t mind waiting for food to be made but an hour with no communication is unacceptable. If we hadn’t paid when we first placed our order I would have walked out and left even though everything else in the area was closed by the time they finally bothered to give us our order. I’m very disappointed in this establishment’s service and I wish they would fix their time management and communication issues because it was nice having a late night spot that wasn’t a drive through chain. Oh and on a Friday night they didn’t have Sushi, which is like half of their menu. Disappointing to say the least.
Updated: Wings were soggy. The fresh summer rolls were literally not even rolled. We paid for extra hot sauce on the side but we didn’t get it. Our curry was cold and the rice was half full. If you’re going to take an hour at least do a good job. And to think I tipped on a takeout order and got this...
Read moreETA: stars given are not a reflection of the food because we didn't get any. The restaurant is called Thai 5 fast food. But definitely was anything but fast. I understand that had a big group before us. The frustrating part was the fact that I chose this restaurant based on the menu I saw online and that menu is not accurate.
This place looked and sounded good for lunch. Tried to call after looking at the menu online to place a to go order. The phone had a busy signal so we decided to take that as a sign that they we're too busy to take phone orders and just went inside to make the order. When we walked up to the counter we we're asked if we would be dining in or out and then before we could answer we're told that it would be a while because they just put in a big group order. We asked how long and they said 20 minutes. So we decided to order. After looking at the menu I noticed the lunch specials shown online we're not on the menu so I asked for a lunch menu. They said that's the only menu they have. I showed them what was on their website that I wanted to order and they said that's not accurate anymore. So we just left. Really wanted to find a go-to Thai place but unfortunately today was not the day...
Read moreGot the chicken teriyaki and crab rangoons. The chicken teriyaki tasted good except that the actual chicken only accounted for 10-15% of the dish the rest was just filler veggies, salad, and noodles which was pretty unfufilling. The Rangoons were anemic being almost entirely flat with a quarter sized blob of filling. I was gonna put 4 stars until I reflected on how sad these Rangoons were.
Perhaps I'll try again in a few weeks to see if they get any better after they have been open longer but right now as is I wouldn't return.
Edit: I've tried other stuff from here recently like the duck fried rice and pad see ew and have enjoyed it so updating to 4/5 the rangoons are still a war crime though skip those.
Edit2: The lady that manages the place is an absolute delight. Changing to 5/5
Edit3: Deeply disappointed to see that salmon/tuna hand rolls have suddenly nearly doubled in price (According to doordash I usually just order there now for convenience idk if direct is different) even as they were shrinking in portion. I used to add a hand roll on to go with my entrée but I won't be doing that anymore. A 4$ to 5$ change would have been acceptable but a 4 to 7$...
