To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing to formally express my deep dissatisfaction and concern regarding the appalling experience my wife and I have had with your Harrisonburg store. After waiting over four months for a bed that was promised multiple times, we are not only left without a resolution but have been treated with complete disregard and unprofessionalism by your staff and store manager.
Despite being in physical discomfort and enduring nights of numbness in my arms and shoulders due to the lack of a proper bed, there was zero communication from your team throughout this process. There were also no offers of alternatives or even the courtesy of exploring other solutions — despite the fact that the product in question is a standard-size bed and one that is prominently displayed on your showroom floor. If you do not have the item in stock and cannot fulfill orders within a reasonable time, it should not be marketed or sold, let alone showcased.
What is even more concerning is the dismissive and unprofessional behavior of your store manager, who found humor in our situation and used foul language in front of my wife and me while discussing our purchase. This is not only unacceptable, it is a clear violation of basic standards of customer service and business conduct.
Your company has effectively held our money for four months, failed to meet three separate delivery commitments, and offered no compensation, substitute product, or resolution — which may be considered a breach of contract and potentially subject to legal review.
At this point, unless a swift and satisfactory resolution is offered — including a full refund or immediate delivery of the product as promised — I am prepared to escalate this issue through formal legal channels and submit complaints to the Better Business Bureau, State Attorney General’s office, and relevant consumer protection agencies.
I expect a response within 48 hours before I...
Read moreThis company is a disgrace. I can not believe that Ashley HomeStore uses this joke of a company to deliver their products. First when they delivered our $8,000 Tempur-Pedic mattress and power base. The first time they tried to deliver our mattress the delivery guys were having trouble getting it up the stairs and ripped the bottom of the mattress cover. When they had the problem of getting it up the stairs the delivery guys called customer care about the rip and my wife called the general manager of the store in Fayetteville we purchased it from. The general manager confirmed with us that Tempur-Pedic would replace the ripped mattress cover. I the. Went to the stairwell and the mattress was no longer in there. I then asked the delivery driver where the mattress was and he said they put it back in the truck and they left. Finally 5 days later they delivered another mattress. Also we ordered a computer desk that was suppose to be delivered on Feb 7 but when the delivery drivers came to deliver the desk they had was the wrong one and actually it was another customers that they had not delivered yet. They then the next day scheduled delivery for Feb 9, they confirmed the truck had been loaded and they confirmed we would be the first in the list to be delivered to. We just found out that the desk was not loaded on the truck and they said they can not deliver today. Please beware if the fact that wether or not Ashley Homestore is good or not you will have a good possibility that you will have a huge problem getting what you purchased through this joke of s company. It is very clear that the people in the distribution section of their company don’t seem to have a clue what they are doing and the managers clearly don’t seem to know how to lead their employees and run a successful process...
Read moreWe purchased a reclining sofa and loveseat set from Ashley Furniture online. Upon Delivery (Delivered by Broad River Retail) the delivery person took my shoe, my personal property and wedged it under my front door to keep it open without asking if that would be ok and then they took apart our front door. Then the delivery people proceeded to bring in the sofa first, scraped it along my stair railing causing one of the cushions to be marked. When we questioned the scrape mark the delivery person said it was ok and proceeded to try to wipe it off. They then left and grabbed the other piece (loveseat) and as they were coming up the stairs they almost scraped that piece if it was not for my husband yelling to please be careful. When they placed it down they gave us the excuse that the pieces are too heavy and then began berating us in Spanish which to their surprise my wife speaks fluent Spanish and told them how they handled things was completely inappropriate. They immediately left without checking anything and we come to find out that the loveseat is broken. A brand new piece of furniture that we have owned less than 8 minutes was broken! We immediately called the customer service team to which the only solution was to order new parts and no one could give me a timeline as to when everything would be fixed. The parts came in the mail and I called today and the repair is still a month out now and they have no other resolution for me. Ashley Furniture took my money and when I demanded a replacement love seat the agent apologized that they couldn't and thanked me for calling them, gave me the repair date of 11/27 and ended the call. No professionalism and no way to...
