Consumer alert by the ACHD for: Rodent infestation: Chewed product and rodent droppings found including: -Several bags of potato chips and other foods displayed feeding activity. -Multiple food shelves contained rodent droppings. -Rodent droppings found on top of bagged flour. -Dead mouse found in trap in back stock room. -Live mouse observed near frozen food display freezers. -Front entrance and back stock entrance doors have large gaps along the perimeters which are allowing pest entry.

Store failed to comply with previous directives: Observations indicate that this facility has a significant rodent infestation which is affecting foods for sale. Staff have indicated that they are removing rodent droppings and chewed food products daily. Pest control is clearly inadequate, and there are large openings in multiple locations that allow pest entry. At the previous inspection, the conditions to avoid administrative action included sealing all doors and providing comprehensive pest control reports. Neither of these...

I recommend you do NOT buy frozen food here. Just about all of the TV dinners I've bought here had to be thrown away due to signs of thawing / refreezing. Pity - I want small local chain stores to do well! But this store just doesn't reach the minimum food safety standards, imo.

And lacking proper food safety in one department indicates that there are likely similar food safety violations in other departments.

Purely conjecture, but this location has a captive, relatively lower income clientele, and I suspect that management takes that into consideration in miss-handling frozen / refrigerated food deliveries "because they can..."

Challenge to MGMT... Let me know when you are available, and we'll open a dozen tv dinners / frozen meals from this location of my choosing. I will buy every one that doesn't show signs of being refrozen, and you will throw away every one that does. Sound fair?

Not sure what all there is to like about this store. Was in town at an AirBnB and they were walking distance, so we went here to stock up to save a bit on eating out. I picked up 5 items (out of let's say 15-20) that were past their sell by dates, on one or two of them by a few months. One item we bought was only available with a sell by date of the day before our purchase. The ground beef (which let's be real, that expiration date is meant to be taken a bit more seriously than perishables) expired the day of purchase, same as the other 10+ in the meat fridge. I just get the impression that they don't bother with quality control and if I was ever in the area again, would absolutely go out of my way to find an alternative. Hope that someone reads this and they make a change in terms of having their staff be more aware of...
