Visiting Indy from South Carolina for work. Happened to spot this shop when commuting back into the city. Pulled in and was blown away. Couple highlights. The amount of sealed product this store has is ridiculous. Not just recent release but a healthy back catalog as well. I mean they had an entire display case of hockey product and I wasn’t even aware Upper Deck made that many releases. Higher end product is locked up in nice display cases but nice to see some shelves with open access products on them. All the card shops I go to have EVERYTHING behind the counter (which I 100% understand with theft) so it was nice to see this change. Lots of single packs as well for purchase from Hobby Boxes (including stuff you never see like 09 Topps Football, 99 Fleer Basketball). Lots of Pokémon, MTG, Star Wars and Marvel sets as well (hard to find a sports card store that also has a good selection of MTG). Lots of supplies, signed memorabilia, Topps shirts, etc. Nice little lounge area with sports on the TV. Not a massive amount of graded singles but everything in the case I looked at was high quality (including a ton of Bowman 1sts) and I know singles inventory ebbs and flows. I wasn’t able to purchase anything because I was on a schedule and didn’t even plan on stopping in but couldn’t pass up the opportunity and I’m glad I didn’t. Took videos and pictures while I was in there to send my friends who collect as well. Will be making a trip back next time I’m in Indy.
Side note: I told my coworker who I’m traveling with when we got back into the car that I couldn’t wait to read the reviews on the shop because people are so petty about the dumbest things when it comes to the hobby. These DID NOT disappoint. Please understand that trading cards are a specialized industry which is why you don’t see a card shop on every corner of your city. The market shifts every minute and most card shops adjust accordingly. You may pay a few dollars more than what you find online but the fact this shop keeps as much as they do on hand (which you do not see in every shop) makes up for any markup there may be. You wouldn’t go into a car dealership or to a real estate agent and expect pricing that is not justified based on the market. Treat card shops with this mentality. A little foreknowledge and research beforehand as the consumer can go a long way in setting reasonable expectations when buying/selling cards.
Overall - this shop is a must go destination if you’re in the Indy area, even if just to be blown away at the quality of the entire establishment like I was. Will...
Read moreHorrible customer service. Always too busy talking to people who aren't buying anything to help the ones who do need help and are buying something.
I even tried to interject to ask a question after waiting forever with no lull in their conversation about print lines. When I tried to talk I got the same look my parents gave me as a kid when they were on the phone. Except I was a paying customer.
Nonsense. Shameful even. Not a way to run a business. I gave this place a shot but the negative reviews are spot on. Bunch of gate keeping non sense and if you aren't one of their cool friends you aren't going to get any help or anytime of day.
I look forward to your passive aggressive reply just as you have all the other negative reviews. It doesn't change anything. Grow up and learn how to...
Read moreI don't think I've ever seen a shop price gouge their customers so badly, take their TCG for example, stuff that sells for say 50-60$MSRP and the market value is $100-110 well they will mark it for $200, every single thing I seen for purchase was marked like this. I've honestly never been so thoroughly disgusted walking out of a store in my life.
If I could give 0 stars I would. Y'all should be seriously ashamed of yourselves
Editing review because they wanted to lie in their reply, explain to me something I can buy at target, GameStop, barnes and noble etc for 50$ and online for 115-150$ you have marked for 200? How about some of ur other items market value is around 100-120, you got marked up to 150.....
The level of greed here...
