UNETHICAL AND DISCRIMINATORY BEHAVIOR I have been a member of Lifetime fitness for around 5 years and have spent over $50, 000 in private personal training and yoga sessions. On November 20, 2023, I had gone to the gym to use the sauna and take shower and while I was getting ready to leave, I heard loud noises of someone moving something aggressively. When I looked, it was the operations staff member (Ana) and both her demeanor and the way she was moving the big towel cart were loud and aggressive. I asked Ana several times the reason for her aggression and why she was so loud. She continued to look at me without saying anything to me and then I was upset and asked her again. She didn’t say a word and continued with her aggressive behavior. I COULD NOT FIGURE OUT WHY Anna’s BODY LANGUAGE WAS SO AGGRESSIVE IN THAT MOMMENT AND SHE WAS MOVING THE TOWEL CART AGGRESSIVELY AS WELL. My assumption is that this was due to my complaint about the dirty sauna and she was taking her aggression out by moving the towel cart loud and aggressively. I always complained nicely and perhaps was frustrated since I was given different rules / policies around how frequently the sauna is cleaned (sometime it was shared it sauna is cleaned daily and sometimes it was shared that it was cleaned weekly). I was never aggressive, however, extremely frustrated.

On Wednesday, November 15, 2023, as I was stepping into the locker room, the floor was wet after it was mopped by one of the operations team members. This was around 8 pm ET and the locker room was full with members. Everyone who was near expressed that it was unsafe, however, no one complaint. So I asked the front desk to page the operations manager (Bianca). Bianca explained that the floor is not that wet and someone is getting the “wet floor” signs. I questioned Bianca if she thinks that the floor is wet and took a video of the floor while recording her statement that “it’s okay that the floor is wet while someone gets the “wet floor” signs. I explained to Bianca while the front desk staff was watching that someone can fall easily on the wet floor and I have been in two car accidents and afraid that someone will fall and will end up with lifelong injuries because of carelessness of Lifetime’s staff. Biance was rude and argued over the fact that someone is bringing the signs and it’s okay that it’s not placed right when the floor is mopped and is wet (I have a video of the vet floor and Bianca arguing with me). had recorded this incident it since I was very upset at her rudeness and the fact she thinks “wet floor” signs do not need to be placed immediately. Brittany, another operational staff member, approached me and told me that she agrees with me that the “wet floor” signs should be placed when the floor is wet without any delay. I was upset and when walked into the sauna, it was extremely dirty so I asked Brittany to call Bianca so I can show her how dirty the sauna is. This took place by the entrance of the locker room and there should be a video...

I have been a member of LT in Princeton for just over a year now. I have never seen a more complete or beautiful exercise facility in my life (and I have belonged to many).

After joining, my wife and I began exploring the many activities offered. We have taken ballroom dancing classes, yoga classes and she has taken Zumba classes. There are aerobic exercise machines, weight machines, free weights, pilates, and classes involving both.

During the summer months we took full advantage of the outdoor pool. The club also has an indoor pool and there is a hot tub in the indoor pool facility as well as a hot tub, sauna and steam room in both the men's and women's locker rooms.

The club has a spa with a complete menu of spa services including massage, and there is a cafe which has a wonderful menu of salads, sandwiches and snacks and is also used by many members as a lounge.

There are many other activities available, but many of the reviews here address the pickleball program.

I had never played pickleball prior to joining LT. The club offered a free intro class, and after I took it, I was hooked. Under the guidance of the pickleball professional who has regrettably been singled out for criticism here (extremely unfairly in my opinion), the program more than tripled in size in less than a year. As a result of that incredible growth, it became increasingly difficult to schedule court time - more than 400 people accessing three courts, one of which is occasionally used for group and private lessons.

Perhaps no-one will be surprised to learn that there have been a catalog of abuses by members, which deprived other members of equal access to the courts. The club administration and the pickleball professional have gone above and beyond in trying to make court access more equitable and to provide playing opportunities to players of all skill levels.

It is those changes that have resulted in a great deal of unhappiness and criticism. One of the adjustments has involved additional fees, and the anger over those fees has, in my opinion resulted in ardent and unfair criticism. The system is in flux, but I wanted to add my voice in support of the club and the pickleball professional.

I have never observed any of the negative behaviors that have been leveled as accusations. I have only observed the pickleball pro to be an excellent teacher. She has gone out of her way to listen to complaints and to try to address them in an equitable fashion. I have even seen her endure personal attacks, rudeness and criticism to her face with patience, understanding and even kindness.

I consider myself to be a good judge of character. I wanted to go on record saying that I categorically disagree with the "reviews" accusing the pickleball professional of rudeness, or worse. I will go even further and say that I believe she has been defamed by some of the posts here and I hope that she considers her...

I am compelled to update my previous review due to the continued and unabated toxic environment at lifetime’s pickleball courts. It’s disheartening to report a stark degradation in sportsmanship and management oversight. Here’s what you need to know:

Manipulation of Tournament Rosters: Some players are shamelessly tampering with tournament rosters to skew DUPR ratings in their favor. This blatant gaming of the system is unsportsmanlike and ruins the competitive integrity of the sport. Verbal Altercations: The courts are rife with hostility, with players frequently shouting at each other over not getting to play with preferred partners. Such behavior not only disrupts the game but also creates a hostile and unwelcoming environment. Refusal to Play: The audacity of some players who refuse to play after seeing their opponents is appalling. This not only shows a lack of respect for fellow players but also robs others of their right to play and enjoy the game. Lack of Management Intervention: What’s most alarming is the passive stance taken by the management. By turning a blind eye, they are complicit in fostering an environment where such toxic behavior flourishes unchallenged.

I urge management to step up and address these issues immediately. Until then, I recommend all prospective members to consider this a serious red flag.

——- end of update——

I am appalled by the recent developments at this gym. Despite initially joining with the expectation of enjoying inclusive pickleball court access as part of my membership, management has implemented a new system where additional fees are required for court time.

This move reeks of greed and a complete disregard for the needs and expectations of loyal members. Instead of fostering a sense of community and fair play, they have chosen to prioritize profits over integrity. It’s shameful that they would exploit the popularity of pickleball to squeeze even more money out of their members.

Imagine joining a gym with the expectation of enjoying open play on the courts, only to discover that a select group of elitists have taken control and are calling all the shots. It’s outrageous! These WhatsApp cartels have effectively turned what should be a fun and inclusive activity into a game of favoritism and exclusion. And if you think management would step in and put a stop to this nonsense, think again.

This blatant disregard for fairness and inclusivity is unacceptable. As a result, I can no longer recommend this gym to anyone seeking a supportive and equitable fitness community. Until management takes concrete steps to address these issues and prioritize the needs of all members, I will be taking my...
