I've been having troubling issues finding a proper repairman to fix my video game console. The system that I have is an extremely rare 1, the Super Nintendo Mini. It is a version of the SNES, but an extremely small scale version of it. I purchased it off of Mercari (an Ebay alternative) but like an idiot, did not check if it was effectively working before giving the review. Once you give the review, the funds get released to the vendor. Oyvey awful...
Although the console did charge on, it would not power switch on, when plugged in with the HDMI or specific chord/cable. I was really disappointed in my purchasing ability, like I had been badly duped. What I am saying is: I was possiby stuck with this "perceivably broken product". I was very upset at the seller for giving me a crapped out system, so I decided to find a shop somewhere here in South Florida to fix it. Long shot I thought...
At first, I went to a reputable person, a technology mechanic in my neighborhood, but honestly he had no idea what to do. I was very disappointed & thought I wasted money on this outdated console. For weeks it was collecting dust near the TV in my place, with no assistance or motivation to repair it. Just recently, I've had a revival of interest in playing Super Mario World & Donkey Kong SNES games, so finally decided to find a better repair person, who works specifically with video game repairs.
Well eventually, I went to the other repairman I used to depend on in North Miami Beach. The intelligent & resourceful India/Paki guy was incredibly skilled fixing by PS4 just a few years ago! I wrote a review for that as well because it was a life saver back then. Still can't believe how it was fixed, when he did it many years ago, luckily haven't fixed it since. But this time, he could not fix or was not able to repair my crapped out Super Nintendo Mini.
This led me to contact this random shop in Plantation. I never go to Davie or Plantation, unless I absolutely have to. This was an emergency, since it was annoyingly stuck in my mind. What happened afterwards, was a miracle! Surprisingly, when I arrived there, a man who looked similar to the NMB repairman, showed his face behind a window. It was a wise looking man named Ren, who I will now remember as: "the master repairman, gaming sage, wizard of virtual worlds, the 1 to fix your faulty system!"
The area was very secluded, in a very random plaza, so it feels like a bizarre experience. Although it might seem like a strange place, since no shop seemed to be open, you must continue with your repair journey & find his shop at #23 (the greatest #)! Guaranteed, within 30 minutes tops, you will be astonishingly impressed with his craftmanship! That's correct, within 30 minutes, of me handing over my console &then him telling me in humble confidence, you will see magic occur before your eyes!
He looked at my system even though, it probably has never been done before & gave me the confidence I needed. Even though, I did not believe him, it is possible that it could be done. I had my doubts, had no idea what kind of improvement after the previous failings, because honestly it seemed like a lost cause. I was seriously thinking of reselling it for pieces or just throwing it out. Worry not gaming mate, his demeanor seemed to express to me.
Ren is a master of the gaming repair world! His workmanship is unbelievable & he will get the job done for your flunking system. His expertise leads to great success, luck & lots of business! Ren & his brother (or cousin in NMB) are true masters of gaming systems & so grateful they have knowledge to help us! I bought the console for $60-80 & the repair was $30-40, with extra tip.
He will even show you how it works again, on the flat screen in his lobby! It was a majestic experience, great cost & customer service. I would recommend everybody to go to him!
Well worth the random journey, highly recommend! You might feel dazed & confused with doubt, but if you go to Ren the repairman in Plantation, then prepare to be dazzled...
Read moreMy brother has had his New 3DS XL for many years now. Never had issues until a while ago. We purchased a game and the joystick had such a painful drift it did not allow him to really play any games without fighting with it. So. We searched for someone to repair it. While we found one in North Miami, they opened it up and told us there was too much damage or something, explained he needed heat to repair it but it was not even a chance it could be fixed. Alas, we searched elsewhere, somewhere possibly closer. That's when this location showed up in my Google search. We took the chance and came over to find this hole in the wall location. Small and cozy with a gentleman who reminded us of a quest giver in a game.
His name was Ren, tall and with a long beard but a smile on his face and a honest sound ready to speak with us. My brother explained the situation to him and handed over his still opened DS he retrieved back from the other shop. The gentleman gently took the system and looked then to us and stated he can fix it but it was a pain in the butt because of how complex the issue truly was. Turns out when it was opened, something on the mother board popped off and disconnected the joystick. The issue with the joystick? The tape was torn. It needed precision and time. We explained he could take as long as needed which seemed to surprise him. We both explained we were patient and really wished to have him fix it since no other location was close to us. He was a bit downcast and explained how complex it was and that he may have it for a long time, but we still told him it was alright. We wished to get it fixed over buying another. We even told him how much the other location offered and he stated he could do it for the price but he needed time. We left the system and went back home in hopes he could fix it..but his words let us have hope. He would not call until it finally worked.
After about a week, it was silent and I gave a call to just check in and see if it was all going well. He told me yes and it was being a tedious task but he will more than likely have it done in another week. I told him not to worry I only wanted to check in. Another week passed by and he happily called on a rainy Monday. We came back and relieved the 3DS like new. Everything working and him thanking us for being so patient and kind. I happily told him it was him we had to thank because he told us everything in detail, he told us what he could do and what he needed to try, he even did not hesitate to explain it was a task not many could do. He had us pay and even stated we have warranty with him. Ren is a kind man, like a wizard of repairing games. If you need to go anywhere, go here. He's a man you can trust and is completely honest and knowledgeable about everything he does. Thank you again my friend. My brother has been locked into the game with a smile once again...
Read moreAbsolutely amazing service! I came in to get the batteries replaced on 16 of my GBA/GBC gameboy pokemon games. The owner was very friendly, knowledgeable and fast! I also got bulk pricing, which is why I wanted to come here! The owner would take a single game to the back to do the soldering, come back, return it to me, I check it, and on to the next one. He had all of the batteries/parts on site and they were the high quality proper ones. I made sure everything was in working order, some needed to be adjusted, and the owner without hesitation took care of it for no extra charge. He also told me how to keep them safe/preserve them and was overall very pleasant to talk to. Those games were my childhood, which I put the care of into his hands, and he delivered for sure, and now all my Pokemon gameboy games save properly / allow time-based events to occur. Thank you again for the excellent work, I'm very satisfied, and would...
