MY TWO FAVORITE THINGS: CATS AND TACOS
Located on Gregory Lane near Pleasant Hill Road, this little plaza sits back from the busy part of Pleasant Hill. Less than two miles from Downtown P.H.'S Crescent Plaza and much smaller in size, Sandalwood Center has less than ten businesses.
However, do not think lesser of a small plaza. The limited space here is filled with a taqueria and a cattery, in addition to some other great shops. Feline lovers will be happy to find Kitty Corner of the Humane Society in the back of the plaza. They aren't always open to meet the kitties but it's worth stopping to look in the window even if you can't go inside. What a terrifical business! And the ladies working and volunteers are amazing also!!!
Next. A taqueria. While this wouldn't be my first choice for tacos, I don't really know this part of town in terms of taquerias, so if you're in the plaza and hungry, I'd stop here over picking up snacks from the liquor store.
