La Mordida — Restaurant in Pleasant Hill

mor quality with average prices. In between my last review and today I have hesitated to provide a La Mordida another review. Mainly because I didn't want to blast a business that seemed to be consistently performing under par for a taqueria during covid. But with today's poor quality meal I thought it was time. Bought a baby burrito to go. Walked a block away and opened it up. The chips and salsa are substandard. Chips tasted stale. Salsa was just not right. Neither the red nor the green. The baby burrito was not made the way I asked for it. And the meat quality was just poor overall. The only good thing out of the whole meal was the rice inside of the baby burrito. Felt strongly enough today that everything else besides the rice was just tossed into the trash can. La Mordida has performed so poorly over such a long period of time the only recommendation I can give about them is to go only if there is absolutely no other place to go to for Mexican food. Or if you are drunk as hell, have your beer goggles on over your tongue, and still want to eat something. Otherwise avoid La Mordida, except perhaps for an order of rice and...

Menu online looked delicious!! I'm a huge fan of crispy beef tacos. Ordered 3, and 1 potato. My wife ordered the chicken crispy tacos. They brought it out and wow great presentation!! Took one bite and it tasted like it was mooing. The potato one was....ok... took one more bite of the beef one, and my stomach was turned off. Threw the rest away. Waste of money. My wife said hers tasted like oil. Truly hate leaving a bad review but unfortunately here we are. I'd rather drive to San Jose!!!...

Decided to try this small family-owned hole-in-the-wall place because they are usually the best. Their people are warm and friendly and helpful, and it certainly was a nice location to sit outside and eat. The only drawback here is that one of what we ordered was grossly oversalted.
